Last One to Post Wins! v4

@Starlight If it's any consolation, we all love having you around here and you'll always have a place. You are deeply appreciated and respected. I can see that from many people who post here. Sometimes we are our own worst critics.

😭❤️😭❤️

Well, I can't speak for the PC Discord, but there is another one you're a part of that I know full well would love to see you around more often. :p
But I'm also sorry to hear you miss your friends... :sadwick:
That would require me to actually open discord though. I've literally only been opening it to make the QU announcements then closing it again. I've been in a very, very, bad place regarding social interaction and haven't replied to (or even opened) people's messages anywhere for far too long. I'm working on it, and I'm trying to ease myself back into society as best I can. I find the forum is the easiest place rn.

Also... you know as well as I do that I can't bring anything to that particular table!!!

And yes I really do. Imagine if all our forum games fam just upped and went somewhere else. I'd be heartbroken. Well that has kind of already happened with other people, and I just don't feel like I fit in where they are now sadly.

If everyone is family in PC QU, then I guess all the PC people who don't attend are the 'nobodies' who get left behind :sadwick:

I've been wanting to check it out at least once, but whenever I see the forum messages show that one is happening I'm already doing other stuff @_@

That's right, everyone knows how much disdain I have for average PC nobodies 😋

You should try it sometime! I think you'd really enjoy it based on what you post in the listening to thread in E&M. We'd love to welcome a nobody like you 😉 ❤️

It's all good. The actual problem is that I always have to make a decision: do I stick throughout the night on the offchance that something meme-y happens and risk getting very unpleasant (something that tends to happen when I'm really tired). Or do I retire early, miss out on something funny, but at least didn't do something stupid that ruined everybody's fun? ^^"

I'm sorry about that. I don't really have an explanation of why I behave that way. But I will try to be a little more involved and actually say something before randomly leaving. Truth is: I actually feel bad, myself, whenever I do that.

It's one of these mental blocks that I still haven't managed to get past. ^^"

Rest assured you're not the only one with that problem. I spent over a year looking at the announcements every week and then randomly making up an excuse as to why I'm not going to participate. I'm not even sure what changed recently.

Actually, it may have been due to the theme at the time (songs from your country) because it made me look up a bunch of songs I listened to as a kid. And then I just figured I might as well give it a try. xD
Don't feel obligated to chat. Just enjoy the vibes and (hopefully) have some fun!

I know people that have been coming for a long time but rarely ever chat. I mean like only a few words occasionally, not even every session. We still understand each other and call each other friends!

After you get used to it, I'm sure you'll want to chat more anyway, but please don't worry about it, we just love having you there either way 😊

I don't want people to feel excluded/left behind if they don't join, though.
They're being scheduled pretty regularly and this past weekend we had a couple extra sessions so I'm sure either of those could help despite your availability.

Sorry if I came across as seeming like I was trying to blame you for it! I understand, it's more just that I've been hoping you've been alright and having fun, because it's nice to have more opportunities to talk to you.
I believe you can get past it though, I'm sure we can help with that or offer reassurance if you'd ever like us to.

I've basically had next to no weekend for like 5-6 months in a row now due to a certain thing I started like over a year ago by now.
Fortunately it's nearing it's end and should be done within a couple weeks so I can finally have my weekends back. =D

When the schedule gets busy, then even the correspondence discussions sounds overwhelming !!

No doubt that live discussions "could" be nice, considering the casual approach towards talking more or less, but it doesn't necessarily means that anyone can chime into anything going on over there, unless that person is into the loop. The quality of discussions might be better if members are less, but that's not the case most of the time, especially w.r.t example into the focus in the previous page.

According to what I think, live chats are best suited for responses which consists of few words or at max couple of lines. So, writing response like this in that medium will result in overlooking of it, if others had posted their short responses after mine. Not to forget that word limit also exists if we are not Nitro subscribers.

With that said, it's all about the personal preference, which can vary from person to person. I am personally not interested in talking with more than two people simultaneously.

Today I talked with one of the student who is doing his PhD in topic related to Quantum Biology. He said something-something to me related to his subject, which I didn't understood properly 😂 . But was quite nice to hear something intriguing. One of the point which caught my mind was regarding effect of type of music which people hear on the brain.

I'd like a theory where rain only exists if you can smell it please =P
I love the smell of rain, especially in the forest, so not sure what good it would do me!

Petrichor girl right here 🌧

I already am outside far too often during rain while working for me to actually want to be outside during rain just to go smell something =P

Rain's always been really pleasant to me, I wouldn't mind walking around in it. One of the best feelings when I was in school was changing into clean warm clothes after walking home from school in the pouring rain. Was lovely every time. 🤍

Continuous rain for hours on end will eventually be too much for my rain suits to handle. Usually after an hour or 2.
After which I will still need to keep working for hours if the rain doesn't stop and get soaking wet.

A blegh for rainy days.

I remember some times when I was younger at school and some days the rain would be so heavy it would just be a constant downpour, and so me and my classmates kept imagining (and fantasising) that the school was gonna flood, and thought that it would be so cool. Anything to not have classes I guess :P

Some classes can be fun if you have the right teacher.
The rest of the time though... sure, bring the flood =P
