Last One to Post Wins! v4

I hate the idea of getting holes in any clothes I own (I've had to throw out a couple because they got chewed up by our dog) but it's especially cause over the past several years I've wanted to be more interested in things like what fashion styles I identify with and what I want to wear and how I want to represent myself, so it feels worse if I put in that effort to get that specific kind of clothing I really want and then have it rip or tear...
I think the whole situation is a lot easier if you don't care what you wear or how you look, so you could probably argue that's something that screws me over in the end, but wearing something nice that I like is a confidence boost like nothing else in the world.~

I've never really understood much regarding fashion- it just seems like a big money racket that ceaselessly keeps changing to something new. They'll have some way of dressing that's considered 'in', and people buy all these things so they can be 'in', too. Then a short while later it changes to something else, and people have to buy all these new things to keep up with it, and then it does it again and again and again. Personally, I think you should just dress how you want to dress, and never mind what people are considering to be 'in'.

Never underestimate how much people depend on other people's opinions on what they should wear. Not a lot of people want to find their own style. That seems to be one of the main issues why we're currently dealing with all the bad quality clothes provided by fast fashion companies like shein and such. It needs to look good, but it also needs to be cheap enough.

I personally don't care as much about that stuff. But I'm also kinda tempted to just find creative ways to fix my old stuff so it lasts a little bit longer. ^^"

I feel the same way, I don't try to keep up with the latest fashion trends; but taking the time to make sure I'm wearing nice clothes / look nice in general before heading out is a huge confidence booster IME. Ultimately, I want people to see the best version of me possible, not the version that just rolled out of bed.

You see a similar thing with home decorating- at some point walls being a certain colour and/or pattern is 'in', then they change it to some other colour and pattern, and later do that again. Best to just pick what you like and want your home to look like, and other people can waste their time constantly redecorating.

I've been in my apartment for 3 years, and I have very few decorations :(

What do you mean, you do not have a poster of my show, Interviews with YOU ?
I had to spend two hours to get the pose they wanted to put on that poster!

I have one furniture item with decorations, but the rest of my walls have zero decorations :)

The way my room's decorated... would probably make many home decorations trend people scream and run off to hide.

The attic is right above my room, along with the access to it. One time I was up in the attic and stepped in this one spot that didn't have as good support as others and ended up poking somewhat into the wall, so now I have a small crack in the ceiling.

In another spot in my room, in my dreams I was (from what I remember) defending myself or someone else from someone by kicking at the attacker, and woke up to find I'd kicked a small hole in the bookcase by my bed. Ach...

I have never been in a house with an attic... Our first house had a cellar, which my father turned into his library and study room (with lots of philosophy books that used to scare little me), but no attic 🤔
