Length

Well, that's entirely dependent on the game. As long as the game itself feels complete (and fresh for certain genres), I usually don't complain about overall length. I mean, some games (Star Ocean 3!) drag on far too much where I don't even bother finishing.

6-8 hours for myself. I have a difficult time dedicating myself to a singular game, and as I like to pad my GamerScore as much as possible I feel like this time frame is a good middle-ground to find myself invested enough but continue to gain achievements at an adequate pace.

anything 30+ hours feels good to me
of course games like the elder scrolls series or other rpgs with many side quests i don't have a problem spending 100+ hours on
as far as indie games go, i don't mind if they are short as long as i didn't pay $10 to get a 2 hour game

A general rule of thumb for me is that for every dollar I spent on the game, I should be able to get about one hour's worth of entertainment. Obviously, this doesn't work for every game (some indie games can't be bearably played for longer than 10 hours, and some RPGs can have hundreds of hours poured into them), but I find that the games that do follow this rule of thumb tend to be more enjoyable for me in terms of money spent to satisfaction ratio.

Guess I'm the minority again. 50 hours is my limit. I like my 8 hour games and my 30 hour games. It depends on the genre but when a game feels like it's never ending it becomes a drag no matter how fun it may be. When I found out Persona 4 and 5 were like 80-90 hours I said no thank you.

People say they like to have their money's worth. I say it's best to know when to quit. Quality over quantity in my eyes.

Like Firebolt said up above, I use the ratio 1 euro to 1 hour of enjoyment as a general rule of thumb for me. Although this makes me incredibly hesitant to buy AAA priced games, I feel it generally does pay off whenever I adhere to it. Of course there are games where I've spent over 300 hours in them (LoL and Rocket League) and enjoyed my time thoroughly, though I'd never spend that much on the game, whilst there are games like Stardew Valley where I think I spent like 15? on the game but have barely played it. So it doesn't always work out but it saves me a ton of money in the long run, money I need to keep saved right now as it is lol
