Let's talk showers!

I actually took a shower after reading this thread.


I take a shower every other day usually, but I like to take a shower after doing something that worked up a sweat.

I used to take 20 minute showers but I cut it down to 15 minutes.

I used to do horrible singing but I just do some somewhat critical thinking when I'm in the shower.

And I'm not repulsed by the idea of a bath(since I always took a bath whenever I was clean), but I just prefer showers. I have better things to do than lie in a tub of water.
 
How often do you take a shower in the day/week.
Everyday. Usually twice a day if I'm not feeling well.

How long does it take you in the shower?
Around 30 minutes.

What do you do while you're in the shower? Think, talk to yourself, make noises in the water?
I usually talk to myself in the mirror and sing at the same time. XD

Do you prefer a shower or a bath.
Both.

I shower on almost a daily basis, but sometimes I won't shower if I know that I'm going to be at home all day and I don't have to go out.

How long does it take you in the shower?
Usually about 10-15 minutes in the winter, and about half of that in the summer.

What do you do while you're in the shower?
I pretty much just wash myself, but sometimes I might hum.

Do you prefer a shower or a bath?
I prefer showers. The last few places I've lived at have had very small bathtubs, so I haven't had a bath since I was about 6 or 7. If I had a big one I guess it would be ok with lots of soap bubbles, but having a shower just seems so much quicker and easier.

Daily. And sometimes, multiple times a day; usually before going to school and little before hitting the bed.

Around 15-20 minutes.

Umm, both.
 
To answer my own question, I take one shower, every evening, every day. I normally take up to about 10 minutes roughly. If any longer, it's because I'm probably lost in deep thoughts. Shower time is thinking time for me anyway; that's what I usually do most of the time when I'm in the shower.

I like my baths. It's the only chance I get to take out Mr. Ducky and my pirate ship. ;~;

In all seriousness, I couldn't say when was the last time I took a bath. I never took it as a way of bathing in your own filth, because then when I'm in the pool I'll think of myself bathing in my own filth as well as others, but I prefer showers as they are quicker.

I take a shower once every two days at most, sometimes everyday if I feel like it. o/ I can spend up to 20 minutes in the shower (up to an hour or longer in the bath), while I am in the shower, I find myself whisper singing (Since I don't want people hearing me lol), day dreaming about the future (mostly about love and all that, yeah.. ;;), and what is going to happen tomorrow/what am I going to do tomorrow. Between a shower and a bath.. hmm... difficult to pick here, I gotta say I prefer baths, simply because I find it easier to relax. I love to lay back in the water and just forget about the world, and my worries. <3
 
I shower every morning. ^-^;
My routine consists of:

  1. wake up.
  2. I HATE THE WORLD GAHHHHH
  3. grumble grumble sassafrassin'
  4. clothes clothes oh god what to wear grumble grumble i can't see ;-;
  5. walk to my bathroom
  6. spend a few minutes trying to find the ultimate shuffle of songs on my favorite playlist that i can sing to in the shower
  7. undress
  8. turn on shower
  9. OH GOD THE WATER WHY IS IT COLD ;-;
  10. adjust temperature
  11. shampoo!
  12. rinse!
  13. condition!
  14. wash body '-'
  15. rinse body + conditoner
  16. turn off water
  17. grab towel
  18. OH GOD IT'S SO COLD ;-;
  19. dry dry dry dry
  20. dress + deodorant
  21. dry dry dry more '-'
  22. if i'm in a hurry, i grab my hair drier.
  23. then i pretend to be a cop with my hair drier and shoot at things.
  24. then i dry my hair real fast
  25. comb
  26. dry
  27. comb
  28. once dry, straighten
  29. comb
  30. BRUSH TEETH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ;)
You now know my morning routine. Try it for yourself, and you'll wind up amazingly ~*fabulous*~ like mwah.

Every other day, usually. Although, sometimes I'm a lazy ass and I won't shower for two days, LOL. But, at this time in my life, I pretty much don't do anything, ever. So I only shower to keep my skin nice and smooth and shiny ( and I guess to stay clean, IDK ). And because I like to take EXTREME HOT SHOWERS, It really is best that I don't shower every day. Too many hot showers is actually bad for your skin. ;o

Like, 20-30 minutes. Sometimes even more if I'm washing my hair. I loooooove long, hot showers. There have been times I've stayed in the shower so long I've gotten sick...

Just thinkin'. I'd do more ( listen to music ) but I don't like blasting my music so loud that other people can here it. I only listen to JPops and KPoppers, which would draw attention to me and IDK, I'd rather not.

Hmmm, well.... Someone else in this thread said that they don't like sitting in their own filth when they're trying to wash it away, and I feel the same way. However, baths are just way too relaxing for me to give up. So, I usually shower first, then bathe. The only problem with this is sometimes we run out of hot water while I'm showering..... And I can't stand warm baths, they have to be HOT. A warm bath just isn't relaxing, and that's the only reason I bathe. I usually have to wait 30 minutes or so before starting to run the bath water.

Do you prefer a shower or a bath? Shower. Baths are disgusting. Also, showers are easier to get in and get used to temperature, it happens near instantly. But with baths, you must dip in every 2 minutes...

Once a day, for the most part, but I'll skip every so often if I get lazy (I skip almost every Friday).

How long?
A looooooong time. Thirty minutes, sometimes more. If there's enough hot water... sometimes an hour. I like showers. No one bothers you.

What do I do?
I sit on the floor (yes, I sit - I never said I wasn't lazy), wash my hair, body, etc. Typical shower stuff.

Shower or bath?
Shower, because baths take forever. (I think this makes me something of a hypocrite with my long showers, but meh. xD)

Once a day at some point. Sometimes it's morning, sometimes afternoon, sometimes night. Really depends on when I feel like it or where I have to go that day.

Sometimes I just stand there and think, or plan what I'm going to do that day. At times I just stand in the shower and let the water run over me for a while, especially if it's cold outside and the water is nice and warm.

Shower, definitely. Baths are good for just relaxing, but aren't exactly great for getting clean because you're basically sitting in your own filth. But I never take baths.

Baths followed by showers are the best. You can really take your time and sit and get your feet really clean (scrub away any rough skin at all) and just scrub yourself really well.. and then a nice hot shower to wash away all that filth feels so heavenly.

Never, as far as showers are concerned. I take baths around twice to four times a week, depending on how dirty I am and whether I need to clean myself up for some important event or meeting.

At least 15 minutes, as per doctor's orders because of my eczema. Technically I'm supposed to spend at least 30 minutes in the bath. Sometimes I get impatient. Sometimes I doze off and end up sitting in there for upwards of an hour.

Think, sing 80's music, sometimes doze off, it depends on where my mind is at the time.

Bath, because the dermatologist says soaking in warm bath water is the best way to moisturize my chronic dry, itchy skin.

Showers for sure. Baths make me overheated and a bit sick. It is kind of like sitting in the stuff you want to come off you, which is a bit stupid. Showers get the stuff off you, washes it down the drain, and are very soothing and relaxing.

I let my mind wander and will typically enjoy the feel of the hot water.
