Facebook really is the worst. Meta has now allowed anti-LGBTQ+ speech in their rules. Why is the world full of so much hatred? The world needs more kindhearted souls like you instead <3

I enjoyed watching this video remembering actors musicians, models, athletes, activists, politicians and historical persons who are trans. I thought it might make a good watch during this time of celebration. Are you familiar with any of their stories? I knew of Elliot Page, Lilli Elbe, Billy Tipton and Patricio Manuel, but many of the public figures here are new to me, and have been interesting to learn about!

There are many other wonderful names to add to your list, but one I think you might find interesting is Candy Darling.

She was known as Andy Warhol's muse, but she was an actress, an icon, and a true trailblazer in her own right. A shining star that burned bright, then unfortunately burned out far too soon.

Happy Pride Everyone. I'm a straight woman, but in the past, I've been on questioning journeys myself. I've met so many LGBTQIA+ people in my life that are just so nice and kind,. Once again, from the bottom of my heart, Happy Pride Month. Don't be afraid to be yourself.

Never forget how cherished each of you are, and how much love your LGBTQ+ family has for you ❤️

I watched some live streams this weekend showing demonstrations happening in Hungary, and thought it is was inspiring.

Orban's government there is a bigoted and restrictive one that is known for going after civil rights, LGBTQIA individuals targeted especially, same sex couples are not allowed to marry or adopt children, trans people aren't legally recognized as existing, any display of gay themed imagery in public is also outlawed, and pride marches have also come under the ban. Despite the attempts to try to force the queer community into the closet, people are not being intimidated and Budapest saw it's biggest pride parade ever.

The Hungarian government is threatening to imprison the mayor of the city jail for organizing the march, and considers all the people there just dancing, waving flags and saying they love who they are, to also be criminals and police can use facial recognition technology to hunt them down, so standing up for their rights could have real consequences. Much respect to everyone who came out. Look at those beautiful crowds.
