Lot's WiP comic and general talk

since it's half PMD, Half not... i'd say ''berries'' all the way :3

That makes sense, but Pokemon in HG/SS tend to have quite a lot of health when they're high leveled, is there a berry that heals for more than like 30 HP?
If not, that might make the 'late game' really hard...

hmmm.... i choose ''drink'' :3

Drink it is! It also sounds more pleasant than just a bottle full of tablets.

umm.... a couple of oran berries and a couple of sitrus berries, maybe ... yummy 🤗
then there's also mago berries, lapapa berries, figy berries, wiki berries and aguav berries :3

then there's also the enigma berries - https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Enigma_Berry#Effect *but that one's not so easy to get, i think*

I seems their effects very greatly by Gen, (except the enigma berry) what Gen version of those effects are you going to use in your comic?

well... naturally in heartgold, it'd be the Generation III-VI effect...

but since the mago, lapapa, figy, wiki and aguav berries give back more hp then other gens (1/8 hp), then it'll also be the Generation III-VI effect for the comic, too :D

same with the sitrus and oran berries (Generation IV onward) - https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Sitrus_Berry#Effect / https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Oran_Berry#Effect
*oran is ''If the holder's HP falls below 50%, it will consume its held Oran Berry and restore 10 HP. '' sitrus is: When used from the Bag on a Pokémon, it restores the Pokémon's HP by 25% of its maximum HP to that Pokémon. It is consumed after use. *

i could go ''arceus'' route and have the oran berries restore 20 HP ... and the sitrus berries restore 50 hp, for them, too, for the comic though.... 😯

edit: i updated part 2 of the poke-people list, a little :D

*i gave ''joy'' a different name, cause ... why not :3 *

That's a bit of a shame... 1/8 ain't much, especially when in Gen VII it refills half of your missing health.

That 30% HP gain with Sitrus berries ain't bad though!

Spoiler:

It's coming along nicely!

Ha! It's the replacement nurse that was hired while that town's nurse Joy is on holiday lol.

hmmm.... you're right.... that is pretty bad... hmmm....
maybe i should go the ''Generation VII'' route for those berries, prehaps, then... where they give 1/2 hp back? 🙄😯 i wonder....

yeah 🤗 *although that's for gen 3, not gen 4 (heartgold) ... in gen 4, it's only 25% for sitrus berries... but that's alot too... 😯 *

It's coming along nicely!

thanks 🤗

Ha! It's the replacement nurse that was hired while that town's nurse Joy is on holiday lol.

haha... 🤗

i think in the comic, they have different nurses for different towns/cities... :3

I'd say if you're set on berries being your only means of healing, go for it. Otherwise, healing in general could get pretty miserable...

Dang, I totally failed at reading that Sitrus berry info... Very nice catch. And yeah, 25% ain't bad either.

Yeah, that makes sense. The 'replacement nurse' joke's still really funny to me though lol.

🤗
cause actual pmd doesn't have potions :>

but each town/city also has their own poke-center (in comic, poke-clinic) where they sometimes go to get healed if they need to :3

i found this map that i could probably base my heartgold pokepeople pmd nuzlocke comic map off of :D - https://www.behance.net/gallery/18694597/Johto-Map / https://www.behance.net/gallery/9483475/Kanto-Map

and since it's a comic, i gave some of the towns/cities different names... new bark town is ''newwind town'' , cherrygrove city is ''fragrant city'' , violet city is ''scents city'' , goldenrod city is ''happe city'' ,
cerulean city is ''floral city'' , fuschia city is ''sia city'' , azelea town is ''liv town'' , the safari zone is ''safari resturant'' , cianwood city is ''port city'' , olivine city is ''breezes city'' , vermillion city is ''exquisite city'' ,
ecruteak city is ''histo city''

but i'm not too sure on what name to give the routes... if at all...

I'd be more interested to see what kind of map you'd draw on your own to be honest. The way you see your own comic world matters the most to me personally.
Those are neat maps though, so thanks for sharing them!

That's cool! But please keep calling them by their 'official' names while I'm helping you, otherwise there's a pretty high chance that I'll get confused.

You could always call them 'paths' or 'roads' instead of routes.

i just mean the outline and such, not the '''actual'' thing :3 i have a sorta image of how it looks... but ehh... 😕 knowing me, it's tricky to transfur it to comic...

and you're welcome 🤗

That's cool!

thanks! :3

right... i'll do that :>

hmmm....
it's kinda like how kalos routes have names.. like route 2 is also known as : Avance Trail - https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Kalos_Route_2 .... or how kalos route 1 is also known as Vaniville Pathway - https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Kalos_Route_1 :D

So you just mean the region's shape then, that makes more sense. At least you have an idea of what you want, it's a start!

right... i'll do that :>

Thank you!

If that's what you want to do, then go for it! You'll just have to think up a lot of route names.

I'm sure this is going to be a really nice comic when you're done!

i think i'll just leave the route names and keep them as normal....

also.... i've decided to give the ruins of alph a specialist wild smeargle who's been researching unown and knows alot about them up till i arrive... he'll teach me about unown and help with the puzzles... :D *cause the last time i did them, they were a bit tricky, i think... i'm sure he'll be able to help us :> *

Yeah... There are quite a lot of routes in Johto & Kanto. It would be a big task to try and name them all.

I wasn't a big fan of the ruins of alph's puzzles... Adding the Smeargle's a great idea to help make that area more pleasant.

😯

🤗 thanks! he's one of the experts on it here :>

there are all sorts of items in there, too - https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Ruins_of_Alph#Items i'm not sure how natural a max revive, Mystic Water, life orb or moonstone are, though... i'm sure the other stuff found there are pretty natural, though :3

i wonder what i should do with the Old Amber, Helix Fossil and Dome Fossil that we ''might'' find in a rock or two.... hmmm...😯

Max Revives are super banned in Nuzlocke rules, so I'd just replace that one with a berry or something for sure.

It depends on how strict to the Nuzlocke's rules on 1 Pokemon per route you want to be, and if there's any other Pokemon in the ruins that you'd want more.
That being said, you could argue that a fossil Pokemon shouldn't count due to having to revive said fossil somewhere else. The choice is yours.

well... let's just say that in the comic, there's no such rules...
but there's a Revival Herb... that's pretty natural... so i'll take that in place of revives and max revives... 🤗 you can also get them in the Goldenrod Tunnel Herb Shop on Saturdays and Sundays, apperently.... so that's good, too :3

that's true... since you have to go to pewter city musuem to revive them, even if we do find them 😑 so forget that until then.... 😑

also... i am gonna get smeargle on the team, but since he's researching unown there, it won't count as a actual catch ....
