it won't hurt him at all. it's exactly what it is, a prediction.

It is the way he said it I think. And I really doubt it won't have some backlash. Usually when a tuber gets something wrong as big as that, they will lose 100 or so people. But I don't think it will hurt him much, but it will hurt him.

But they didn't reveal any new Mega Evolutions... so many they won't be making any new ones?

That's what I'm likely assuming, since it was announced VGC 2017 rules have announced that Mega Evolutions and non-Alola Dex Pokemon will be banned from the event. So based on that, it's definitely likely there will be no new Megas.

I'm angry and upset. I wanted Mega Evolution to not be included, but, perhaps it IS a postgame thing so I can ignore it entirely...sigh.
it was foolish for anyone to think that it wasn't going to be included.
it would be like removing form changes or making it so unown & vivillon only have one variation

Not to mention some Pok?mon really benefit from Mega Evolutions, as it makes them competitively viable again. Charizard being the biggest example of this.

the problem is that some of the pokemon who got megas didn't need them & in turn it caused havoc.

The Z-Ring apparently has a circle-shaped indent that is around the size of a Key Stone, so it's safe to assume the Key Stone used for Mega Evolution will fit there.

Actually , I was wondering if Z-ring itself acts like a Keystone.
Since Dexio and Sina talks about Z-ring instate of Z-crystal or Keystone.
As We know , The ring doesn't have any power ! Its the Stone/Crystal that has the power , That Why many Megevolution user that does not use Mega ring.

I found it really strange that they didn't mention new ones, just that "hey your Beedrill isn't useless again" kind of announcement, so either they really want it to be a secret, or there won't be any new ones.

glad they're bringing back mega evolutions. hopefully this means we get new mega evolutions such as that mega milotic ;)

I think they will focus more on Alolans for this game. We might get more Megas in whatever game comes next in the 7th Gen. DP just turned 10 in Japan, 10 in 2017 in America, so I have a feeling that DP Remakes will be next year's game and possibly the game for the NX.

However, Ash-Greninja basically is a type of Mega, so we might still get a handful of new Megas. It will probably something we have to discover if not leaked.

I say this because I do not think there will be Sinnoh Variants, unless they some how include Johto Pokemon Forms in Sinnoh, which I don't see happening, so that gives them some work for the DP Remakes. Possibly the long awaited Johto and Sinnoh Megas and possibly the Battle Bond Forms of Chesnaught and Delphox.

Apparently Mega Stones are a battle facility prize, since one of the gallery images on that page has the Mega Stones listed with the BP cost next to them. Guess that confirms my speculation of Mega Evolution being postgame-only.

However, it also states that some will be given to the player by characters in the game, meaning that not all of them will be BP or there are indeed new ones.

And I am pretty sure that we will only encounter Dexio in the main storyline, so I don't think we can say that Megas are post game only. Alkazite is going to be given to us by Dexio.

By looking at the screenshot, it looks like there will be around 21 to 28 Pokemon total mega stones on the market. If every 2 names is 7 stones. There is 48 total if that is counting the Legendaries.

Okay nice we got a bit of clarification. It was the case with the 6th Gen games as well - some Mega Stones were obtainable in the main story while others were obtained in the postgame (XY), or after a certain event (ORAS).

I think they still might use the Sun and Moon engine for the DP Remake... I'd rather have the NX pokemon game gen 8.

Yikes. I think no Megas is a step backwards but... I guess it's not my company.

I was half expecting them to show a new mega evolution with the official reveal yesterday. I'm starting to doubt any new megas with the wording "relive Mega Evolution" and the fact that none were shown on the day of the announcement.

I love how they hide the actual battle facility in that screenshot.

Can't have people knowing they copy and pasted the Battle Maison again!

And as Blue said, I'm really starting to doubt new Mega evolutions because they said "relive Mega Evolution!". It just kind of felt like they put it in so people didn't have to worry about their precious Mega trained Pokemon going to waste. If there were new ones, they probably would have shown them.

From Official wedsite --

A select number of Pokémon were able to Mega Evolve in Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X, and Pokémon Y. As long as you're in possession of the proper Mega Stone, any of these Mega-Evolving Pokemon that can be caught in the Alola region will be able to Mega Evolve in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, as well. The Mega Stones for Pokémon that appear in the Alola region may be received from people in the game or obtained from special shops.

It does not mention Keystone , Instate it say that Pokemon will able to megevolve as long as Player has the proper Keystone .
Dexio and Sina also talk about their theory that Z-ring might able to Megevolve Pokemon.
Seriously , I wish The trailer actually showing Player megevoloving Pokemon .
