Making this feels like another welcome/introduction thread; makes me feel like a beginner again. Nevertheless, I'm Raine! (。・ω・)ノ゙ Although that's just an online alias I use instead of my real name because I'm paranoid about that ๏_๏ Hm, where to start? I am Canadian, but with Vietnamese and Chinese background though I can only understand and not speak the former. The languages I know and use everyday are Cantonese and English, but I have learned Korean, Latin, and Japanese. Regarding academics, I was studying for a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology 4 months ago for 2.5 years until I decided to switch programs and schools to become a Systems Analyst because I enjoy doing programming and web design. Reason why I initially chose the former as my major was because I had a desire to help people and I love being able to, but the stress was getting to me \: If I can't help myself with my own problems, how can I expect to help others? ꒪⌓꒪ But yeah, I'm currently learning Java right now and I already have 5-6 years experience with web design/development.

That aside, I enjoy watching anime, reading manga and playing video games! My favourite anime series would be PSYCHO-PASS and Elfen Lied, both of which interestingly enough have an underlying psychological aspect about them. In terms of gaming, I'm pretty much a Sony fan because I've owned everything up until the PS3; still waiting on that PS4 stock to start stabilizing before even attempting to get one. Favourite series would be Final Fantasy (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤ Only recently started getting into the Pokemon games with Pokemon X for the 3DS, to be honest, that's why you'll probably see me lurking in the bottom sections more often than the Pokemon ones, hehe.

Other than that, there's nothing particularly interesting about myself that's worth mentioning |д꒪ͧ)… Hence the title of the thread.

    Hello :)

    What's your favorite programming language?

Who's your favorite Kingdom Hearts character?

In Elfen Lied, who do you prefer Kouta with: Lucy or Yuka?

Which of the previous Pokemon games (before X and Y) are you most interested in playing?

    Hm...

As a Sony girl, are there any particular big franchises that have been Playstation exclusives you've really enjoyed more than others?

Being into programming and web design, have you made anything cool out of any codings you've been given?

    - Hm, to be honest, the only programming language I know at the moment is Java XD I don't really consider HTML/CSS one because it doesn't really fit under the category...
    - I guess the crossover characters don't count :P Sora! Mainly because he looks likes Cloud and Aeris's love child!~ He's such a sweetheart, but whoever designed his outfit should leave their post >>;;
    - I've always disliked Yuka, to be honest. Not only because of the whole incest thing, but also because she was quite annoying as a character \: Lucy was really cool, on the other hand :3
    - Honestly, I'd love to play the oldest generation, the colours mainly for nostalgic reasons and that I actually know and am familiar with all 151 Pokemon XD

    - I know that Final Fantasy XIII Lightning Returns was released on the 360, but Final Fantasy is my absolute favourite series! Kingdom Hearts is another because I'm a huge fan of JRPGs. But an honourable mention goes to The Last of Us; beautiful game, compelling story alongside exceptional graphics makes for a wonderful game. And normally I don't replay games, but TLOU warrants more than just one replay :P That's always why I love PS games, they're mostly single player; not big on the whole multiplayer ones.
    - Unfortunately I have not :( Unless you consider really primitive programs like calculators cool XD We've spent majority of our time learning to do user inputs and outputs as monthly bills, dialogues, etc.

    I got one question, Raine...
    What is your real name?!
I'm River and Raine is really close to it. There can only be one of us in these parts. :O

Was it hard learning so many languages? How fluent are you in each?

Aside from Cantonese and English, sadly, I never pursued any of them far enough to become fluent in them \: I discovered I have a problem learning languages with characters like Chinese, Korean, Japanese, etc., though I never had problems with actually speaking them. Took Latin all through high school though. Even though it's a pretty useless and dead language now, it was still interesting to learn (: Japanese, I took lessons when I was younger; teacher was going too slow for my liking so I figured I give up and learn just from watching anime XD

Have you ever considered yourself fat? How did you deal with that?

As an individual who has always had a negative self-image regarding my body and weight, the threshold for feeling "fat" was quite low. Using my weight fluctuations over the past few years as an example, the highest weight I've been was 140 pounds and I could never imagine myself going beyond that. Even at that weight, I didn't feel positively emotionally or physically; was quite lazy, emotional, easily aggravated, etc. And even before then, my normal weight would be considered ~120, which was the norm throughout most of my high school years before I had my anorexia phase for 4 months during the summer. Taking the BMI into consideration, that's considered healthy, but for some reason I personally thought I was fat. When I was at 140, in order to deal with the problem, obviously I pushed myself into becoming active again, playing tons of badminton; the past summer I would play 3-4 days for 2 hours every week and implemented a daily 20-minute work out routine so those have helped in achieving my goal of losing weight to the point where I feel comfortable in my own body.

Even if I say that about myself, I'm not shaming people who are obese. It's just my personal experience and how I see myself.

Do you ever feel like apologizing to someone because you weren't in a good mood one day?

Not sure if this is a positive or negative trait of mine, but I always apologize for everything first even when I know that I'm not in the wrong. I just don't like being in a situation where there's tension between myself and another person. Generally when I'm not in a good mood, I will stay away from communicating with people until I feel better so I won't project any negativity towards people. I try to let them know that I might be feeling off or my replies will be different than what I would normally say, as a warning :P

    Who is your celebrity crush?

Hm, to be honest, I've never actually been asked that question in my life XD The celebrities though that I would mention nobody would know because the only type of music I listen to is Korean D: But there are several male actors that I find quite attractive/handsome like Johnny Depp, Ryan Reynolds (Canadian pride!), Sam Claflin. There's several others, but those are the ones off the top of my head :P Hope that answers your question!

Any place outside of Ontario you ever think about living in? Why? :D

Are you hoping that I say NYC? XD To be honest, I'd want a city with slightly more of an active scene than my current city, but not as lively, loud and busy as Toronto or NYC. Within Canada, I would probably say Vancouver, British Columbia because it seems like a beautiful place to live. If it was somewhere outside the country, I would probably choose Paris, France :D The architecture of their buildings are beautiful, not to mention the iconic Eiffel Tower, but also their cuisine is absolutely delicious. Their fashion scene is another plus so that would definitely be my choice~

What? No >>;; I have my own special Asian here so why would I go there for people I can find here? XD And not entirely sure if pot and weed are interchangeable, but the closest I've been doing substances is brownies. My ex-roommate was a particularly bad influence during the summer of 2012 because that's when I started gaining the weight, drinking alcohol, partying, etc. So yeah, she decided to buy some one night for a party to make brownies and I only had one or two. Aside from that, I haven't touched any other kind of drug. Don't really want to...Bad experiences that I want to stay clear of from now on.
