Inspired by the article in The Smog issue 8. What moves do you think Pokemon should have, but they actually don't? Whether they'd make the Pokemon more viable competitively, or just make sense flavour-wise? Here are some of mine:

    Venusaur - Earth Power
    Blastoise - Crunch
    Wigglytuff - Softboiled
    Machamp - Mach Punch
    Gengar - Nasty Plot
    Snorlax - Slack Off
    Typhlosion - Outrage
    Ampharos - Tail Glow
    Torkoal - Scald
    Zangoose - Cut
    Flygon - Quiver Dance/Dragon Dance
    Luxray - Bolt Strike
    Honchkrow - Knock Off
    Bronzong - Heal Bell
    Gible line - Bite
    Yanmega - Fly
    Regigigas - Protect and Rest
    Reuniclus - Thunderbolt
    Escavalier - U-Turn
    Ferrothorn - Spiky Shield
    Chandelure - Blue Flare
    Meloetta - Boomburst
    Aurorus - Power Gem
    Diancie - Power Gem

HOW CAN ZANGOOSE NOT LEARN CUT THIS HAS BAFFLED ME FOR YEARS!!!!!!111!!1

Yanmega's Pokedex entry from HeartGold, Y and Alpha Sapphire:

This six-legged Pokémon is easily capable of transporting an adult in flight. The wings on its tail help it stay balanced.

    But it can't learn Fly!

It would be nice if Magikarp could learn the broken Magikarp's Revenge but alas that is exclusive to Missingno. Obviously having that move in it's disposal before it could evolve would be rather extreme so possibly around level 30, which is reasonable I guess since it would be compensation for it's awful attack stat.

Magikarp and Waterfall. This a Pokémon that is actually based on the legend of a carp that jumps up the waterfall and turns into a dragon. How the hell does it not learn Waterfall?

    Greninja should have know --

    ---Detect

    ---Mimic/Copycat

    ---Phantom Force

    ---Hypnoses

    ---Dragon pulse

    ---Sheer cold.

Maybe farfetched on my end, but, why can't Marowak learn Revenge? This has always baffled me, especially in FR/LG since Marowak's ghost wanted to get revenge, after all...

The most obvious one for me is Rhydon not knowing Head Smash. It has Lightning Rod, Rock Head and Reckless. Either give it some better abilities or some moves to put them to good use.

Infernape should learn "Bone Rush" Because he's the Monkey King !

Seconding Bronzong and Heal Bell. It is such a Pokemon thing to create a big, living bell and not give any sound-based moves at all.

I also saw someone say "Qiver Dance and Dragon Dance" for Flygon.
    Yes please.

Double-Edge for the Honedge and Starly lines too would be nice.
Added Bronzong with Heal Bell to the OP.

Flygon with Quiver Dance and Dragon Dance, that was me.

    Starly gets Double-Edge through breeding.

Goodra: "It attacks with retractable horns. It throws a punch that's the equivalent of the force of a hundred pro boxers."

So you'd think it would be able to learn Horn Leech or Mega Horn, wouldn't you?

Quiver Dance for someone else would be nice. With the exception of Volcarona it would be cool to see someone that isn't a bug learn it. After all, Scraggy and Crawdaunt learn Dragon Dance. Whoever mentioned Ludicolo learning it is a genius!

The elemental Monkies should be able to learn the pledge moves, that's right at the top of my list! Also both Aurorus and Lunatone should be able to learn Power Gem.

Kyurem has hands made of ice. Noe, Game Freak, explain to me why it doesn't have Ice Punch.

If Pidgey can learn Fly, why can't Butterfree, Yanmega, and a bunch of others?

    Snorlax. Snore. Lax.
    Can't learn Slack Off.

Also like. lol, god of pokemon sir Arceus doesn't know how to smash a rock, move a boulder, or cut a tree innately.
