One day you suddenly realize - you're in the wrong body. You decide to have a sex change, to the opposite sex. One of the most defining moments of this is deciding what name you will go by. What name do you choose to define yourself as your new sex, and why?

Bonus: Is it the same as a name you would choose for a child of that sex, or not?

Audrey, because that's my favorite girl name and I'm all for favoritism when it relates to me.

    I'd go with Cherry.

    ...

    Either that or Cinnamon.

    ...

In all actuality, I would probably go with something somewhat androgynous, like Jay or Chris. Maybe Jay, actually, even though someone I know already goes by that. :/

I'd definitely do something like Pierre or Lafayette because they are silly yet sophisticated which of course describes me.

After a series of conclusions I've decided Nick would be the best choice, because Nica's my nickname on here, and it's one letter away from Nick, and with my IRL name it's shortened to Nica anyway so it wouldn't majorly be that different from what it is now.

    Don't think I'd name a child Nick, though. XD;

I already made my decision its Ashley. Been that way for almost a year now Xd

Janine. I don't know why, I just think it'd suit me. x] And I would definitely name a child this.

I think I'll keep Shi. I'll just be a guy named Shi. Yeah. Would I name my kid that? Nope. Already got kid's names picked out, and Cyril won that top spot.

Karie would be my name. I've always loved the name Carrie but I prefer the way the letter K looks and double letters are unnecessary so I'd use that spelling instead.
I would defiantly call my daughter Karie, it's such a pretty name I'm almost considering changing my name to it right now.

I'd consider going with the female version of my name (Andrea), but I really hate that name lol (no offense to anybody named Andrea - I'm sure I'd like you just not your name :P)

I think I'd go for something simple and non-offensive. Something I've noticed when people change their genders is that they usually pick a name that is really over-the-top feminine/masculine - I guess having to live your life in the wrong body for so long would make you want to compensate and really go for life as your gender of choice, but that isn't really for me. I'd just wanna slip under the radar as much as possible.

So I'd go for something like Jane or Linda. Actually probably Linda - I quite like that name.

And yes, that is different to what I'd name my female child. Before I decided on not having children, I always said that if I ever had a girl I was going to name her Lily lol

the world doesn't need more Lisas! Well, I dunno of a masculine version for my name. Does Larry work? I'd love to be called Lawrence. :)

If I had a son, I'd name him Josh or Nick. HAH. -shot-

Same as Nick's choice, Audrey. The reason is cause it's the name from my favorite song, Audrey Start the Revolution!. And nope, I wouldn't name my daughter Audrey, I'd name her either Amber or Rose.
