name of choice

My name has grown on me, mostly because of the nicknames I get. But it's still sort of annoying for me. It's Whitley.
Obviously, it's constantly mistaken for "Whitney", or even "Whitely"/"Whiteley". Which all gets old to the point where I barely bother to correct people anymore unless I plan on seeing them again.
I get fun nicknames though. Aside from Whit, there's Whitters, Whitterly, Wilson, Whitler, etc. lol
I like my middle name Winter much more though. I wish my parents would have done it the other way.
I don't think there's another name I'd rather have.

Both your names are awesome. (y)

my name has a ton of nicknames which take the pain away so it's all good

My name is okay I suppose. I like it when people actually call me Samantha but people rarely do. I just get all of these stupid nicknames that I don't approve of having like Sam, Sami, Sammi, Sammy, Sammie, Samuel (which is by far the worst one) and so on. The only name I actually like to be called other than Samantha is Mani since I just like the way it sounds.

I don't think I'd ever change my name but I've always wanted to have the name of Grace, I just love it and think it represents me as a person more than Samantha.

My mom once told me she actually considered naming me June at one point, since that's the month I was born in, and I think that's kind of cute. I'm glad she went with Karen instead though, I like common/'classic' names more than unusual ones. And it sounds better with my last name imo - a lot of my friends call me by my full name like all the time and I'm just really used to hearing that.

I will say that when I was younger, I wished I had a name that contained 'y' or 'g' just because it was really hard to come up with a signature that looked nice, and I liked it when people signed their names with big swoops using those letters. :P My entire name contains no letters that look good in cursive.

Please say your last name starts with wi/whi too. Your parents must have gone for full alliteration.

I like my name. It's simple, short. Probably because everyone just calls me by my name. It also is a bit bland, so it doesn't have personality, which I like, because that way it always fits yours. I won't change it, but if I would, I'd go for some name that just screams badass. Like Starscream, or Deathgun. Or Murderblade. I think It would fit me.

I love my name I really wouldn't want to change it. I think the name Flora is super cute, but idk if that's a name I would give myself.

I don't really dig Eric, I donnu I think it sounds like some British lawyer trash name haha. I go by my middle name Pauly.

My first name - Taylor - is so distant from me now. I haven't had a legal name change, but I do go by Irene (one of three middle names) at my work, at school and in life. The only people who call me Taylor are my parents, siblings and other family members. It just seems so weird to hear now.

If I changed my name legally, I would crunch my other two middle names - Carol and Anne - into Caroline and stick my middle name as my first name.

Irene Caroline [last name]. Much simpler than having four names and two last names, like I do now. Blargh.

I would not change my name for anything else. It's me, and since I've been me for the whole of my life (duh) it'd feel strange to be known by an other irl name. In saying that, Oliver is a name I love.

I'd change my first name because I don't like it too much(which is why I go by Chase which is my middle name instead!). Not sure to what though in all honesty.

My father in law didnt like his middle name, and in his family every oldest son got called the middle name as the first name is always the same, so in the end he went by a nick of his first name lol.

(bob) and his middle name is harvey.

My full name sounds like a freaking mexican soap opera character. My mom was the one that picked it out when she was watching a soap back in 1990. I despise it, especially my middle name, I literally cringe every time I hear it. >_<

I do go by Megan online, but I would like to take it irl. Most peeps at work do call me Megan due to the high number of co-workers sharing the SAME IRL NAME as me. It's outrageous.

I'm not super fond of my last name, I should marry someone with a better one 8)

My first name though, is really nice. Beautiful and very me. Not saying I'm beautiful, I just mean I'm very pleased with my name. (well I am beautiful but)

So I wouldn't want another name :)

I would never change the name that my mother gave me. I like it, and it was a plus when I found out it means warrior. XD

Though throughout middle school and beyond, I made up my own nickname: "Neko". Surprisingly enough, my new friends went with it, so I was reffered to as Neko by most of my peeps during my teenage years. Sometimes I'm still called by that name, and that's cool with me~ I was always fond of the nickname. :3

I like my name! I didn't when I was growing up, I asked my mom if I could change it to Sarah lmao. I like it a lot now though, Teresa is a pretty name.

I used to have loads of fantasies about what cool name I could change mine to when I got older. That said, I have never disliked my name, although it does give an awkward nickname. Aids is great isn't it!

My surname I'm perfectly fine with. In fact, I really like it, and kept it over my Dad's when him and my Mum got married. So yeah, no name change for me! ^^
