New supporter usergroup color?

Should the supporter usergroup color be changed to green?

I can't see the Jade color being used, or anything close to the AA green, because they just got rid of it, it's way too soon for another user group to steal that color. If you want that to happen, come back in two years. v o v

That aside, I wouldn't mind the color changing, SO LONG AS ITS NOT NEON YELLOW, but I'll miss the italics if they leave, I think that's part of the charm of supporter and admin names.
 
Well, here's some image I found with a ton of colors on them; it may seem like it's a bit difficult to read, but I can make out the HTML code for the colors just fine.

This is what I used, though, when I looked up some different shades of green. The rest of you might have better sources than whatever I found, most likely, but I figured I share these anyway just so others can look through ones they might like?

In non-bold it kinda just looks like a gray-blue almost. Also there are always the grayish versions of brighter colors, which would mute the distraction factor, but might not be as interesting to you guys.

The most important thing is probably that the color goes well with most styles. If possible, all styles. Those muffled/grayish colors might not do well on both dark and bright skins, I'm thinking.

Yeah, I'm really messing around here. I actually like the shade called "Green". Not kidding. Or at least the variant #038733. The teal-ish color #05785D gives off a more comfortable feeling though. I think :3

And now that I compare, I think I would miss having my name italicized if it was taken away, but I see the not-need for it if we get a color that isn't similar to any staff.

Really though, it's important to find a colour that's neither too bright or dull, as they need to work with both light and dark styles. Dark teal shades are going to be lost in darker styles, as is yellow in lighter styles. This is amplified with italics, due to the softened edges of slanted lines on LCD screens.

As such, while I think Pink could work, an old thread here proved that it upset members who didn't find it gender-neutral enough. We're probably best off with a shade of Purple or Green. Provided it wasn't too bright, the Event Organiser green could be nice - they can have another colour. :P
 
I'm quite content with the current colour and style of supporter usernames. Although if I did want a fresh change, I'd definitely be happy with any of these really nice, subtle colours. :3

Let's not try them out in italics for the chance that the italics could be removed. Also, I use this for colors because it has quite literally thousands upon thousands of shades/hues. Any color you want can be found with the move of the cursor.

I don't think we should have a dull shade such as silver/anywhere in the vicinity of gray, or dark shades of pink/peach. We wouldn't really stand out as much as we're 'supposed to' and it just wouldn't look good imo. D:

Anyway, some more colors, if we are to change to green -

We still need italics cos it helps differentiate us from regular members. If we lose the italics I would not be happy at all cos someone may mistake us for a regular member.
 
I'm not a particular fan of having green for all the supporters unless it has a more blueish mix to it. Green is a bit of a harsh color, one that often doesn't look as well on a lot of styles. However, if I had to go with a green, I'd go with one like this:

I looooove those two, particularly the former (yes, I shamelessly took them from Toujours), but I'd really like to see something more along the lines of this color here:

It's close to PPN's, but it's still different in appearance and I don't think it is too terribly harsh on the eyes en masse as all the green would be >.>

I honestly can't see that happening with the different username colour and the different userbar. It shouldn't be a big deal at all.

Foooor the record, the grayish colors actually look better on dark skins than light skins, at least imo:

You know what? I actually like this shade. A lot.

Still, I'll have you guys know that you shoooould hold your horses for a bit before going for an actual colour change, but it is possible that we'll give you the chance to make an official discussion on this in the near future :P

And why would that be a big issue? We are pretty much regular members, albeit with a neat color, some perks and a board of our own. But it's not like we should be treated differently than "regular" members are. It's more of an issue if people would confuse us with mods.
 
If we really cant have green and it's too much of an issue, I wouldnt mind turquoise like Toujours posted. I just think a change would be really nice. We'd have our own unique color and it wouldnt be confusing to people because it looks like the mod blue. It's just an idea. I personally still prefer the jade green though.

I actually thought of turquoise last night, since it's a bit of a blue-green mix, but it kind of looked more blue and figured it'd just be too similar to our current color. It was also late at night, so I could've just been too tired to notice the difference. D;
