    So considering we're about a quarter of the way done with 2014, how are your New Year's Resolutions coming along? (; Usually when the new year rolls around we hype it up by promising ourselves that "this is the year we're going to change", but very rarely do I believe we actually do anything or give up after the first month. This thread's purpose is to evaluate our resolutions and see if we need to change some things or start anew, as it's never too late to make a change in one's life!

    My New Year's resolution was to participate in next year's Boston Marathon, and so far I've been making really good progress! I can currently run for 8 miles which for me is great considering the most I could ever do before this year started was 3 miles. Even though I have a lot of progress to make to reach that milestone of 26 miles, I'm happy to say that I've already improved a lot!

    My new year resolution was to become a better writer. Well, that was going to happen regardless, but just so I have an answer when people asked me, that's what I said. I feel like I've made real progress. In fact, I plan to submit my newly revised short story to a few magazines in hopes of getting published. It probably won't, since I still have a lot to learn, but the learning experience is good too. I just feel like my writing is a lot stronger than in the beginning of the year, and I can't stop thinking about it.

    That's just so scary and it makes me feel bad man. Like it feels it was just a couple of weeks ago that we were having Christmas and now we're almost a fourth of the way done with 2014 and I still haven't done anything but facebook and play pokemon and Dark Souls :(

    My resolution this year was to find a boyfriend and stop being so glum and socially awkward and I have done neither...video games can be my boyfriend -starts laughing quietly but hysterically-

    I'm actually keeping up to mine. My most important one was to get over Social Anxiety, and so far, I'm doing great! I can finally talk to people without getting too nervous.

    Most of the others have gone down the drain. Completely.

    my one was to finish Talli tales and failing that so far.

    "To get in better shape."

    Seems pretty vague and ambiguous but I set out some mini-goals. I lost a lot of fat (and muscle) weight by February, and now I've managed to gain a fair amount of muscle weight given the time.

    I also wanted to improve upon my drawing skills, which I have.

    All is well.

    My main new year's resolution was to start being smarter with my money and to find a way to make some extra income.

    On the first point I'm succeeding, on the second I'm failing miserably out of lack of motivation lol. My current job takes up enough of my time, I don't really want to get a second one or anything like that, so my options are kind of restricted.

    I really wanted to get back on track with my body and mentally get over a lot of my shyness. I lost about 30 so I'm really happy with that. But mostly I am happy with the little bit more confidence I have now. I've really come to realize that I over analyze a lot and I was using my own paranoia against myself. It's hard to completely change your train of thought when it comes to yourself so there are times where I fall back on bad habits, but I try to stop myself as soon as I notice I'm doing it.

    I don't even remember if I actually made any at the beginning of the year \: Even if I did, I would have obviously forgotten about them up until this point XD (1) Probably would have been to study harder this year simply because I want to prove to myself that I'll be able to stick with the systems analyst program that I switched into from university to college in January; (2) After losing the, what I considered excess weight within a few months, I want to keep myself in shape by doing my daily routine; and (3) Play and try to finish as many video games out of the PS3 collection since losing all my game data ;-;
