I just thought of something really obvious too. The trainer wouldn't be there if Girantina was using shadow force.

Anywayz im not feeling so great about the possibility of there being a G/S remake. Emerald did ome out before Fr/Lg but then again Nintendo might actually break away from a pattern.

About this floating thing, I don't really think you battle it properly,
Maybe Giratina runs away or something and you catch it later on. Just a guess.

Or levitate pokemon don't have grounds anymore.

the ground under the pokemon doesnt disappear when u change pokemon. cuz the platform under the trainer is still there, so why would giratina's disappear?
obviously, giratina is doing something, because if you read giratinas name in the hiragana text in its hp box, then look at the second line of the info box, its the same, so we know giratina is doing something.

plus, the platform is there from the start of a battle. so it is during battle at some point.

then its probably a new udate who knows , just wait till the game comes out or any new pre realese pics

Yeah.. interesting.. i'm still wondering about that invisible platform.. it can't be fleeing, as there would a Pokémon there instead of a trainer. So it must be that levitate abilities don't have platforms anymore.. very odd, but oh well. I'm liking the look of the fact that we might be able to catch all three legendaries, Dialga, Palkia and Giratina. Very exciting. But when is it going to be released for the UK, i really want to know! If its like, April '09 i will definitely get the US version.

Maybe the box just says "Wild Giratina Appeared!"...

EDIT: Damn, how could I not have realised it before? Giratina's name is not derived from the jewel Girasol, but rather from the Japanese word for Platinum, Platina.

Or how the Japanese pronounce it, Puratina.

Bingo. Exactly what it says. "Yasei no Giratina ga arawareta."
So, no attacks, no abilities etc. Just your trainer encountering it at the beginning of the battle.

Hence, I also find it weird that Giratina has no floor beneath it, unless they've decided to change something withing the game. (I also think that Giratina's sprite looks a little bit too big... but I can't remember the normal size anyway seeing as I haven't played in quite a long time)

The teaser image on the Japanese Pokemon site doesn't really reveal a lot. Seeing as the release date's in Autumn later this year... we could speculate that they could release it on September 28th, exactly 2 years after D/P's release date.

Well no my remade sprite and Wichus, too is 80x80 so it's perfect size^^

Well, I've finished ripping the new sprites from the platinum (there doesn't appear to be anything worth ripping in the overworld shot) so here's my latest Platinum sheet:

I may make a front sprite and some overworlds later tonight or over the weekend, but don't hold your breath!

Somehow, I think that anyone who has spent a lot of time on Diamond or Pearl is going to be very upset, because now they have to do everything all over again, trade all their good Pokémon to Platinum, and then conquer everything new, not to mention conquer everything old all over again.

Wi-Fi Underground is certainly a plus, as long as it still works exactly like the old one. Y'know, with the flags and everything. Just with Friend Codes.

Also, how will this be compatible with Pokémon Battle Revolution, if at all? It better be, or Nintendo's going to blow a lot on this...

Υeah about the PBR thing I think number 2 will be out soon if not right after platinum comes out. Or considering wii ware and all mabye theyll make a patch to make it compatible. Oh and those rips are nice and I use now. Nah jokin but yeah pokemon platinum. I can reing it in my head and its quit catchy. But for the sake of this post not being flamed I wont say what that does bring to your mind.

I probably wouldn't trade my Pearl Pokémon to my Platinum, i'd just start all over again.. i seriously wouldn't mind. And wi-fi underground is DEFINITELY an upside if you were to trade your pokémon from Diamond or Pearl, but i wouldn't do that (hey, i might actually, you know!) i'll probably get a few flying Pokémon to the game the second i can, but i'll decide if/when i get it.

I definitely would be trading a select few over to Platinum; a couple of my main Pokémon have been with me since Leaf Green. I'm incredibly attached to my Politoed.

I tried my hand at ripping the origin form sprite, and I've placed the form from DP next to it to compare, I have also recoloured the origin form as shiny.
I have NOT stolen this.

Wow. Even in its Origin Form, Giratina really needs to lose some weight. I can still see the beer belly. But then again, I guess that's what makes Giratina the best of all defensive Pokémon.

Okay, okay, I won't make fun of Mr. Ghost & Dragon anymore...oh, sorry!
