    If you had to choose just one band to listen to for the rest of your life, who would it be and why?

    I think my choice is obvious. SuG. The reason is because their music makes me happy. It helps my anxiety too. I connect a lot to it at the same time. Also because Takeru is my hero for many various reasons as well. Trust me, I could write a book on how amazing he is. I think we all know why SuG would be the one band I could listen for the rest of my life. :P

    So, how about you? Also, I think I might have brought this up before. O_o The thread is probably dead from the looks of it though.
     
    Does a girl group count? Hahaha. For me it would be T-ARA. I've been their fan for a while and I literally listen to their songs every single day. They are more than just a group to me...they've gone through some really bad things, but they are still standing strong. They are very inspirational to me personally. I could go on and on for days about why I love them so much. ; u ;
     
    Mine would be Post Modern Jukebox, as they're a cover band who do covers in all different styles, so things would always be fresh. And since they do covers of songs in different than their original styles, I doubt I'd find it growing old quickly!
     
    Call this a pessimistic answer, but there's no one band or artist that I could listen to constantly that I wouldn't eventually get sick to death of and that includes my favourite music. I guess to pick one artist, it would be Linkin Park, but I'd have to have long breaks between each time I listen to them in order to keep it fresh. Maybe I'm taking this too literal haha. :P
     
    Hans Zimmer, probably ;) if I really had to live with only one composer/artist in my ears for the rest of my life.

    I wouldn't mind as long as I had the option of choosing. I could deal with SuG because they literally mean the fucking world to me. Well, Takeru does anyway. I honestly wouldn't be able to deal if I couldn't listen to them. I'd cry for the rest of my life since Takeru literally means that much to me. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing he is. I'd end up writing a book about it, then it'd put people to sleep. XD Anyway, I would miss listening to Gotcharocka and all my other favorite bands though. :<

    I see. :P I agree there's more of a reason to pick one band over another when you have an emotional connection to them.
     
    I just couldn't listen to one band for ages because I think I would get sick eventually. But, if I had to choose, it would be The Prodigy. There's a lot of songs that I do like from them, and I've liked them ever since I was 5.
     
    It'd be between Radiohead or Pink Floyd. Probably Pink Floyd.
     
    Oh man.. Of Mice & Men! They have a song for almost everything. Feeling angsty? Try They Don't Call It The South For Nothing. Feeling a little down? Either Identity Disorder, You're Not Alone or Space Enough to Grow. In love or something? O.G. Loko, My Understandings or When You Can't Sleep At Night. Angry at the world or someone? Public Service Announcement, You Make Me Sick, or Broken Generation
    In my opinion, they have really amazing songs. Shayley's voice in the first two albums, Of Mice & Men and The Flood, is just...amazing.. Alan and Phil do a great job with guitars, and Valentino has been great with the drums since the start of the band. And tbh so far people have liked Aaron as the clean vocalist. Oh, and Austin is just amazing at unclean vocals and his screams..ugh..
    This also may or may not be a public service announcement to get people into them.. xD And yes I realized I'm Twenty One Pilots themed but.. OM&M > TØP..
     
    I know the easy answer is your favorite band but let's face it, I don't wanna listen to a bunch of songs I've already heard for the rest of my life. I'd prolly pick someone up and coming that could release a bunch of new material as I get older, I donnu who that'd be but I'd pick them dammit

    Perhaps that's not exactly the question of the thread. Maybe it's also implied that you're not limited to just their existing songs but any new songs they would sing (which would imply, are you loyal).

    If I had to choose, it would be KOTOKO. Her voice is amazing. She can sing cute, she can sing beautiful, she can sing emotional. I like the way she displays herself.
     
    I really couldn't listen to only one thing for the rest of my life. I know my comment kinda defies the purpose of the topic, but really, how could you listen forever to the same thing without ever getting tired? Not my cup of tea lol.

    I would do stand listening to Linkin Park for long periods of time, if that works for you.
     
    Most likely the Smashing Pumpkins. My favourite band, and they have a nice sized discography now.

    uhh yeah hence my answer. all my favorite bands haven't made music in years, if I picked them there'd be no new material.
     
    Beirut. No contest.

    Elephant Gun, Nantes, Postcards from Italy, Scenic World, etc. I never get bored or sick of their songs. How could you get bored of music as beautiful as theirs?
     
    Yelle, that's basically the only music I listen to anyway lmfao.

    Wait but then there's Britney Spears... ugh I love my pop queens. Still gonna go with Yelle, though.
