The egg or the link? Cause the egg doesn't do anything when clicked, and the thread I linked is "PokéCommunity Forums Guide" in the Meet & Greet section.

How does the website know we found the egg if clicking on it does nothing?

Messages the people running the event and tell them you found it. See:
If you find an egg, DM/PM gimmepie, Faf and Juno where you found it and which egg it was so we can keep track. Make sure all three of us get the message!

To send a message, click on a user (such as gimmepie) and hit "Start Conversation". Will need to add the others by writing them into the "Recipient" line.

What is this?

Like the title says, it's a good old-fashioned Easter egg hunt. We've hidden a total of thirty special eggs in various posts across PC and it's your job to find them. If you manage to track enough of them down, you'll win yourself a fabulous, thematically appropriate badge (as shown below). The three people who find them all the fastest will also win a special piece of Easter egg-themed art of their favourite Pokémon created by Cherrim. If less than three find them all; don't worry, we'll award that extra prize to the three who find the most instead.

Every egg will be hidden in posts on the first page of any given forum (at the time of posting), but not necessarily on the first page of a thread. They are visually distinct, so you'll know them when you see them. We'll be periodically posting hints here as well, so check back every now and then! If you find an egg, DM/PM gimmepie, Faf and Juno where you found it and which egg it was so we can keep track. Make sure all three of us get the message!

There's only a couple of days left... Any chance we could get an official hint for either the Munchlax or Torchic eggs? The site's been pretty thoroughly gone over and no one's (that I've seen anyway) even mentioned having found either one of them. (heck, even just mentioning if they've been bumped to a second page or not would be cool)

Seconded, those are hidden so well.

Edit: the badges in OP are still broken, the issue is very likely that normal users don't have permission to view attachments posted by staff members.

Sure, I'm feeling nice today.

Torchic has been saving lives by donating something special for the past two hours. It wouldn't have taken as long maybe, but it got pushed back in the queue.
 
Time! That's (I believe) all 30! I sent all of you a PM with screenshots of all 30 (2 broken images in there, though) eggs! I hope that counts.
