[PKMN FULL] Pokemon: The Way of the Stormsong (signups and discussion)

In the fantastic Pokeworld of Sabia, a legend is told of a Jolteon knight known as the Storm Knight who liberated the kingdom of Leudal from a fallen king and four god-Pokemon of ruin. The tales of the Storm Knight's journey is considered by many to be the national epic of Sabia, and many come to Sabia to travel the route of the Storm Knight's journey each year. Some come to study the historical context of the story, others come to learn about the lore, and still others come for the sake of an adventure. Regardless of why a traveler comes to walk the route, it is tradition for them to receive a Traveler's Writ from Queen Sagita--which they can stamp at major stops on the route, and the traveler can keep as a souvenir of their journey.

Our story concerns a shiny Sylveon minstrel named Aine, who has journeyed to Sabia to learn more of the journey of the Storm Knight. After meeting Menta, her Sprigatito guide, in the town of Oscurala (the traditional start of the route), Aine embarked on the adventure of a lifetime, unaware she would be following in the Storm Knight's footsteps, and Menta and her companions would be known as heroes themselves.

I was thinking, for this, to go for a former pirate captain Gardevoir. I will see what class she could fit in (half offensive mage, half subterfuges).

Character's name : (Kept secret) ; title including nickname : Captain Moonblast

Nature : Bold
Ability : Trace

Character's class : Pirate

Appearance : Normal Gardevoir (170 cm tall), wearing a refined navy outfit she "borrowed" to a navy captain in one of her adventures.

Character's history / personality : The Gardevoir who calls herself "Captain Moonblast" hatched in a wealthy family of the upper class, living in a coastal city. Smothered by the decorum, the rules, the rigidity of this way of life, she craved freedom. Realizing her family loved gold more than one another , and intended to decide who she would marry with, were the last straw, and the young Kirlia fled. In some remote tavern, she was noticed by a pirate who, after a brief discussion, promised her the freedom she seeked. Resourceful, she was quickly welcomed in the pirate crew of the Dragon Claw.

She was more than eager to get back at the snooty upper society by joining the raids on their gold and shiny things! The pirate captain, a Druddigon called Long Tooth Silver, also valued her knowledge on the upper society and where they could find good loads of treasures. But after a few raids, the Kirlia, witnessing the pirate's ruthlessness, was beset by doubts. Doing this to people was not what she wanted. Thus, the next time the crew disembarked on a harbour, she fled once more... But not without packing a good amount of gold. She soon found a new pirate crew, which, unlike the previous one, was made of more honourable pirates who refused to use unrestrained and pointless violence.

With her qualities and skills, she climbed up the ranks in the crew, until, a decade later, the old captain, an Aerodactyl called Sharp Flint, passed his captain hat to the one who was now a Gardevoir. Thus, the new captain of the Bone Rush, who had earned the nickname of "Moonblast" due to her tendancy to use this move, led her new ship into many adventures. Sadly, her growing thirst for danger and the thrill of adrenaline led them to a bit too many close calls. To the point the crew, with a heavy heart, mutinied.

And so, Captain Moonblast went back on land, in Sabia, to drown her frustration and regrets in Lemonade, when she heard about the preparation of a party to follow the Way of the Storm. Wearing her blue navy outfit, she registered - three Gold Nuggets, and we forget the name -, eager to reunite with the thrill of an adventure, to build new friendships... and maybe, who knows, to find some shiny treasure!

Bold, adventurous, she likes to drink Lemonade and "borrow" shiny things. She also likes to live dangerously.

Character's current inventory : 1,000 soles, 1 pirate sword (a bit thinner and longer), 5 Lemonades, Shalour Sable (heals status conditions), Amulet Coin, Covert Cloak (to go incognito), Heavy Duty Boots (protects from traps), Smoke Ball, Big Pearl, Lure (to lure eventual foes elsewhere as distraction), 1 Runepowder Fuse Bomb ("Big boom...").
Also, will the Pokémon limit to standard items, or will this RP allow for non standard ones ?

Moves : Psychic, Amnesia, Agility, Psyblade, Twin Beam, Moonblast, Mystical Fire, Will-O-Wisp (good to light a fuse!), False Surrender, Feint Attack, Flatter, Thief, Knock Off, Pursuit, Snatch, Taunt, Fire Punch, Thunder Wave, Confuse Ray, Night Shade, Shadow Sneak, Swift, Charm, Pay Day (more money), Flash, Smoke Screen, Teleport
(I put there what I thought would fit my character. Also, for Psyblade, could be Moonblast imbuing her sword with her Psychic power for one special attack!)

Character's name: Lucky.

Character's species: Eevee! (he will never evolve in this story)

Nature(?): Careful.

Character's class: Since he's destined to be an Espeon some day, I'd say some kind of wizard or mage.

Character's history/personality: A young, cheerful and happy Eevee boy looking to go on an adventure! Some would describe him as quick to caution and not one to engage in battle if he doesn't have to. He's inexperienced in the ways of the world due to being an orphan for most of his short life, and he has never really had anyone solid in his life to act as a proper role model. I suppose I should mention that he still walks on all fours despite everyone else walking on two legs. He was rescued from a body of water when he was a baby, and the one who saved him called him Lucky. He was then taken to an orphanage where he was taken care of into his early childhood. No one knows where he came from. More to come lol. :p

Character's class: Pirate! (Okay, probably closer to a spellcaster... But a pirate at heart!)

Character's history/personality: (Alex here, I just typed out her entire Arceus damned history, then when I went to spellcheck it, clicked the wrong button and wiped the entire f'''ing thing... So since FCG already knows it, and it's her rival character anyway, I'm just going to do the short, short version.) Family? Rich. Parents? Smotheringly loving. She trained in Fire magic, but sucks at it. Her parents bought everything in her life that she wanted, including her ship and crew, even though she didn't want them to. She knows how to make potions. She hates being called by anything other than her name. She's an insecure nerd who fakes confidence and pride to cover her own feelings of failure. She secretly respects her rival and wishes they would have met under better circumstances. She wears glasses. (Anything else can be learned with dialog, or just ask me.)

Character's current inventory: Her magic casting wand and her fancy pirate outfit. Beyond that, it changes from interaction to interaction.

Actually @EmeraldSky , does this work like that one past RP we're inspired from: quadrupedals can stand on their hind legs with their front ones acting like arms? This kinda reminds me of my Umbreon knight-to-be (iykwim) for some reason. 😅

Yes--quadrupeds can walk on their hind legs, with the two front ones functioning as hands and arms.

He's actually meant to be the child verson of my Espeon Glass from my other site RP, but here he's just a child because I'm still not sure if he'll survive that RP as of now.

I want the powder barrels and powder bombs from Baldur's Gate 3 so that, with Ignis - I mean Mystical Fire -, I can blow every destructible thing up just like I am doing in my current BG 3 run.

I was wondering if you'd let me play an occasional 'villain' character for the campaign that's meant to be a rival pirate captain to FCG's character. (we've already spoken about this and FCG is into it lol) She would be a Delphox named Zorra Vixen who's primary objective (at the moment) is to mess with FCG's Captain Moonblast as much as possible (without it getting annoying of course) lol. I'm still working on things for her (and my own characrer, but he's a bit easier) but I wanted to run it through approval before I spent too much time on her.

Yeah, it's more like a character specific side quest that can involve the rest of the party. It has absolutely nothing to do with the main quest at all.

I have not been able to get on filling my character's form due to being busy, but I am going to start very soon!
Also, pirate class seems to be a thing now in World of Warcraft (Plunderstorm).

I am also curious, what level will this RP be ? Like a lighter Pokémon-like RPG ? Darker Lord of the Rings-like RPG ?
