Night 2

It wasn't looking good for one particular inhabitant of the Asylum. His behaviour had aroused suspicions within the group, and a mob mentality soon materialised around him. And it looked like it would they would get their wish, too (without any meddling kids to mess it up).

But then, almost as if under a compulsion from an outside source, the mob started chanting in unison:

"Blanche"
"Blanche"
"Blanche"
"Blanche"
"Blanche"
"Blanche"

The mob grabbed their new target (who'd already had a hard time both before and during her stay in the Asylum) and, with immense gusto, dragged her to the Lobotomy Room. Still under their compulsion, they chanted her name as they collectively pulled the switch. Once the act was done, everyone seemed to return to a state of normalcy, but unsure as to what they'd done and why.

Adding to the confusion, a mysterious figure dropped from the air vents wearing a Santa suit, gas mask and carrying a sackload of presents. John McClane removed his mask with a flourish, and yelled out "Yippie-ki-yay, motherfuckers! Santa Clane is in the Asylum!"​

Nakuzami has been lobotomised. He was Blanche DuBois Manson.​

Event - Die Hard in the Asylum​

For some reason, John McClane (of everyone's favourite Christmas film) has busted into the asylum dressed as Santa Claus. He was in the air vents when the Joker released the Amnesia Gas, but brought his trusty gas mask with him so managed to survive the attack unscathed and with his memory in tact.

Having survived the gas attack, and with his unique position overlooking the asylum from above, John McClane has brought with him the gift of knowledge about characters who didn't make it to the start of the game, as well as those who survived, but who have not figured into phase posts thus far. However, that bastard Hans Gruber infiltrated John McClane's bag of presents and swapped some of his gifts with lumps of coal. In addition, one person will receive a very special present to be used during this elongated night phase.

To claim your gift, please post in this thread a number from 1 to 15 in the format: [Present] Number. Each number can only be chosen once on a first-come first-served basis. I will then send you a PM with the contents of your present, which you can use in any way you wish (including discussion thereof in this thread).​

Night will end approximately 94 hours from now at 10:00pm GMT on Tuesday 27 December (please adjust as necessary for your location). Please submit your night actions to me via PM/Discord message as soon as possible.

As it's Christmas, you are more than welcome to talk in this thread during the special night phase about your presents or any other random crap (but not night actions and other game-altering information). Ho ho ho.​

Rules and Mechanics

  1. Please be civil to one another. This is only a game; we're not opening the Ark of the Covenant.
  2. Each day phase will last approximately 48 hours, and each night phase will last approximately 24 hours.
  3. Unless stated, you can't target yourself with your Night Action.
  4. Lynch votes must be written in the format of [#LOBOTOMISE] Username.* If you want to change your vote, you must use the format [#UNVOTE] Username. Not following this format will result in your vote not being counted.
  5. Votes for a no lynch/abstaining are NOT allowed.
  6. A tied lynch vote will result in a coin toss to determine who gets lynched.
  7. Missing two consecutive lynch votes will result in your removal from the game.
  8. Do not share PMs for any reason. If you do, you will be removed from the game immediately.
  9. All important game conversation should be kept in the game thread, or in any relevant Discord chat.
  10. If you are dead, please stay dead. Don't post or 'like' any new posts. You do get to post a single "death post" that may not contain any game-related information.
  11. Posting in the night phase is not allowed, unless stated otherwise.

Well, I got the "gift of knowledge" and was informed that Nurse Ratched (the mafia roleblocker) is still in this game, which is nice to know, albeit not a shocker by any means. Coupled with the overridden lynch today and Dr. Evil and Peter Pettigrew both being mentioned in the D2 phase post, I think this means that Marie Laveau (voodoo lady) was the eliminated mafia role. So we have no need to fear our words killing us. :)

Also, now that Manson is confirmed to be in this game, that means that Dr. Nick Riviera is not - there was one independent removed, and the Joker already won.

Now then, time to party! ^^
