There's a couple from Robots in Disguise (the band, not the Transformers. >.>) that I just love.

Joue la cache-cache 'vec le matin, joue la cache-cache!

That's from 'La Nuit'. The whole thing is a beautiful song, and this line is just a particular favourite. It means "Play hide and seek with the morning, play hide and seek.". Given the whole song is about a night out, it pretty much means that they don't want the night to end so they're hiding from the morning. ♥

Sunshine drips down my back and paints spider-web lines of Parrot green, oh-oh-oh, chocolate, oh-oh-oh, chocolate, oh-oh-oh, it drips chocolate on my nail tips, midnight on your eye lids...

From 'Wake Up!'. The song was for Barry M, the make-up company, so it references many of their colours. This line just seems so poetic and airy.

From "The Tears". The whole song is open for interpretation, but I think it's pretty much about a woman who finds that her partner is cheating on her. This lyric expresses her raw rage at the other woman, showing the violence and possessiveness that could come about as a result of the discovery.

This last one isn't so much a lyric as a poem, but I find it to be beautiful anyway. And it has the most unlikely of sources... Doctor Who! Would you believe? Anyway, this is from "The Beast Below".

All of Lou Reed's songs are well written, but I can't really relate to most of them (usually about sex and drugs, lawl) but this one is a lot more innocent, about someone who sees themself in a negative way, and attempting to show them that they're wrong about the way they view themself.
