    what do you wish to be complimented on? is there an attribute/talent/trait that you feel doesn't get enough praise or recognition? is there something about you that makes your day when acknowledged, compared to any other 'thing'?
     
    My good looks (of which I lack when wearing glasses).

    If not, then my Smash Bros. prowess, my character/story/weapon/enemy-design creative prowess, or the fact that I've proudly taken care of a Kirlia since forever and a day.

    In everyone's defense... your character theme and user title might speak of different volumes, at first glance. XD;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
     
    Even though I get complimented on my writing on occasion, seeing other people get that like ten times more makes me feel like I'm insignificant compared to them. Other than that, I feel when I did chores and other household work I'm not being appreciated.

    Sometimes I get compliments on what I wear and work outside the house, which is nice.
     
    I enjoy being complimented on my intelligence by people i respect. I was the other day by my history teacher! I am complimented a lot on my kindness and character as well.

    Although I do receive compliments very poorly and I feel awkward, but feel good later. I also cannot give a compliment for my life outside of select circumstances.

    So anyway the more important thing to me is why the compliment/praise is being given and why the person feels the way they do. Like for example if some is like "Nah yer so sexy", I want to know why they think I'm sexy. The praise is rather empty and meaningless without that.

    That's true, I changed it tho (to another evil character, woo) I swear it's like the opposite of what I am.
     
    i never feel like any of the work i do is appreciated or even acknowledged, whether it be like chores or creative stuff or helping someone out... i dunno. i could go for some recognition a lot of the time. i'm not looking for compliments, just a thank you. :P i dont really know what to do when someone compliments me anyway

    I try to be an honest person and I highly appreciate when someone takes notice to that. Like I don't want to be an asshole either, but sugarcoating isn't my thing lol. I like to think I can strike a balance in being honest without being rude. There's a way to do it.
     
    I want to be praised at work. I work with a LOT of people who do not take their job seriously and do fuck all. The managers seem to only want to praise the leads and it's kinda frustrating. I work so hard to keep my area up and exceed expectations. Just a little "good job" would suffice :[
     
    I get complimented for a lot of things like my drawing skills, looks, writing, etc. But I never feel appreciated enough or feel way too over-appreciated (as in, when I do nothing and be thanked for being there) when I'm actually doing something that helps other people. I suppose that people feel there's a gap between me and them due to my social standing but thanking me for what amounts to nothing while ignoring something that I roll over backwards for them just ticks me off sometimes.
