Hey guys, just checking in to see how you guys are doing! Ever since I came back from vacation, I (and I'm sure many others) have been interested in this project. Just a few questions I and a few others are wondering:

1.) When will the League start?

2.) How long will the League run for?

3.) What duration period will challengers have to sign up for the League?

3.) Why not just name the League something simple like "The Pokecommunity Power League"?

Hopefully sometime next week. Depends on how soon we can fill all the slots and pick our types.

2.) How long will the League run for?

As far as I know, it doesn't have a set run time, and we'll just accept challengers whenever they come. We do plan to sometimes switch up the theme (now its dual-typed Gyms, later maybe we'll change to something else, like.....mandatory Dunsparces?

3.) Why not just name the League something simple like "The Pokecommunity Power League"?
IDK. That's not a bad idea, but I'm gonna let everyone else deal with the name; I suck at coming up with names.

Also one more question I thought of:

Do players need to choose a set team of Pokemon before the League begins? For example, a player chooses 8-10 Pokemon they want to use for the entire League and stick with those Pokemon the entire time. Furthermore, every two weeks players could be allowed 2 more Pokemon.

I like the first idea, not the second. I believe a league on another forum that was a member of (the forum, not the league) allowed a set pool of about that number of Pokemon that they had to use throughout their challenge. I like that because it allows flexibility without too much counterteaming. I don't like the second idea because it may encourage people to delay matches until they're able to receive those new Pokemon, and, honestly, I think, say, 10 is enough. You're supposed to put time into your choices to make sure they work well together. You shouldn't need more.

I think 8 would allow for easier versatility. Versing 6 dual monotype gyms with a locked team of six would be damn near impossible. Plus, what if you lose once against the leader? They already know what's coming, allowing for 8 would help the challenger. Leaders should be locked with a group of 6, E4 should be allowed 7 and the Champion 8.

You know what? People change teams in the game all the time; truthfully tell me, even-leveled, you could whup every Gym Leader and E4 in Kalos with a set team of six. Even-leveled; not like my sweep of Serena with Porygon2 yesterday where I was Lv.100 and she...was not. {XD}

I'd say definitely allow for nine. Ten might be too many.

Teams would have to be submitted before someone begins a challenge. No substitutes. If you need to change the team, the only change allowed is something not involved in any battles to date, and that can be approved on a case-by-case basis.

Fair enough. Challengers are allowed a new Pokemon after 6 losses. How does that sound?
I like that more; it works for me :).

I think we should start drafting types soon. I guess Antebellum will pick first, I'll pick second, etc. How about a reverse pick where we all pick one type, then the last person picks their second type and we go back up towards the top that way?

I say that they get no more than 8 Pokemon. Any more is too many imo.

Also, shall we at least start the type draft?

lol, you ninja'd me on that. Sounds fine to me, doing the picks in order and then in reverse.

Here's the draft list again:

1st: Antebellum
2nd: Euphoric
3rd: Polar Spectrum
4th: Zekrom
5th: Charizard Man
6th: TGM
7th: Fokko
8th: enigma
9th: Cyclone
10th: BlueBoi
11th: AdamEternal
12th: Falkbalk
13th: Ultraviolence
14th: Ferraligator

I see an error.

Here's the draft list again:

1st: Antebellum
2nd: Euphoric
3rd: Polar Spectrum
4th: Zekrom
5th: Charizard Man
6th: TGM
7th: Fokko
8th: enigma (1/3 RECORD)
9th: Cyclone (1/2 RECORD)
10th: BlueBoi (1/3 RECORD)
11th: AdamEternal
12th: Falkbalk
13th: Ultraviolence
14th: Ferraligator
I've noted the records. Either both are before me, or both are after me. Unless there's a number somewhere that wasn't in the list on the previous page.

I knew there was something wrong with the list. Here's the correct version:

1st: Antebellum
2nd: Euphoric
3rd: Polar Spectrum
4th: Zekrom
5th: Charizard Man
6th: TGM
7th: Fokko
8th: Cyclone
9th: enigma
10th: BlueBoi
11th: AdamEternal
12th: Falkbalk
13th: Ultraviolence
14th: Ferraligator

Might as well start the draft. Antebellum, you get first pick.

Also....while we're doing this, it'd be best if every time someone makes a pick, that they copy and paste the list into their post so we can keep track of who's gone and who's picked what type.

Just a note, since we got our new router, our Internet's been acting weird. It's all fine right this moment, but I may lose Wifi, or all Internet, at random times.

Also, I'm 11th. I did better then I thought! :D

Just wanted to drop and spread the word.

I meant it how it is in Antebellum and Euphoric's posts.

You'll get a spot simply because we only have 8 people but 10 spots for the X/Y division.
