For now, I think he wants one person for each type. We are picking a second type after.

First off, there's only one active league at the moment, which doesn't warrant an entire sub-forum. I'm not going to make a sub-forum the instant a sudden trend occurs, I'd rather see if the interest in leagues is long-term. PC has had many leagues in the past, and none of them have lasted very long. So, I'd like to be proven wrong here! With that said, I wish you all good luck with this. Can Zeffy explain his reasoning here? I honestly think that not tapping into the interest is going to make it harder for other members to find existing leagues. See my link last nite to someone trying to set up another league; either he does not know this is here or he actually saw and wants to set up a second. A dedicated area for leagues is the way to go IMO, and sub-forums for each league is optional - as in not as important, but a nice touch, even if unnecessary. I feel strongly about a general leagues forum, so would like Zeffy's reasoning as to why this is not ideal.
We have work to do. {XD} Let's hope that the league stands firm and the idea sprouts others; it would also be nice to have an official league here.First off, there's only one active league at the moment, which doesn't warrant an entire sub-forum. I think having a leagues forum on its own, right from the main page, would be a good start; not necessarily as a sub-forum here. Frankly, I think the name of the forum ("Battle Center") might have been the main problem. It sounds like a place to get advice on battling, not a place to challenge a league.Additionally, this forum used to have a large number of sub-forums in the past (see: here), and it didn't work out very well. Moving threads to a sub-forum hinders their visibility because most people will be viewing the main forum. Not to mention too many sub-forums can be rather messy and not user-friendly.
I'm curious to see what you're coming up with. :) It won't change my opinion, but that's why it's called an opinion. Let's do whatever is best for the forums here.If you're wanting the forum to place more emphasis on leagues, I think there are better ways to do that than a sub-forum. Zeffy and I are working on a new forum splash (e.g. the welcome message here), and we could try advertising leagues in it (maybe a "league spotlight" feature?). The forum guidelines could include more helpful info on leagues and how to make them. Prefixes can also sort threads (e.g. click on [Group] and you'll find all the leagues, clans, clubs, etc. in this forum), which we'll be providing easy links to in the splash.
Ugh. I leave for a day, come back my type gets taken (damn you TGM) Are we picking now? If so can I get ice?

Once again, this would require a dedicated forum. Which I think, done right, is the way to go. Under names like what it used to be, it would be confusing and not draw people in.I thought about something. How about each Gl has their own thread? While the Elites will be on the main thread.
Too many threads. It'd confuse people if our Gym Leaders were scattered all over the place; best to just list all of us and our types in the OP of the new thread. Besides, challengers need to know who all the league members are up front. If we make separate threads for each leader, they have to go hunting for those threads.I thought about something. How about each Gl has their own thread? I think it would go something like this:
While the Elites will be on the main thread.
MAYBE in the league thread, everyone has their own post they edit, maintain and customise. Just maybe though. The OP could have quick links to the leader's posts.
It's not necessary, but it's cool and is organized. It's really not necessary for everyone to have their own post/thread though. All that is needed is the person's name, types, and battle format (if applicable) in the OP.
In a dedicated forum, I would suggest every leader has a thread, and stickied. But yes, while it would be organized, it could be excessive at the same time (too organized?). In a generic forum, it would be a disaster. It's not necessary, but it's cool and is organized.
That said, a thread for each would obviously be too much.
I don't see how it'd make things more organized and accessible. What exactly is the purpose of having a post for each member when all that info can be put neatly into one post? I doubt challengers will care if we have a post detailing each Gym Leader; they're just there to fight us.It would make things a lot more organised & accessible
