    [PokeCommunity.com] PWT

The Pokemon World Tournament (PWT) is a building located south of Driftveil City in Black 2 & White 2. It is a massive hub where the best trainers in the world battle each other, including all the Gym Leaders and Champions (oh, and Bianca as well) battling in all major battle formats. Wi-fi tournaments were also available to allow for even more different trainers to battle, some even being based on characters in the anime.

Tournaments included Driftveil Tournament (which is the one you do on the first visit), Rental, Mix, Leaders and also the aforementioned downloadable wi-fi tournaments.

That said, what are your thoughts on the PWT? What was your fave tournament? Did you like battling previous Gym Leaders and Champions? Did you ever download a wi-fi tournament?

Oh it was incredible! One of my favourite features from any pokemon video game and I hope they bring it back someday~ Kinda wish they had the Elite Four Members though (Like I thought it was odd that they had trainers, gym leaders, and champions.. but not them?) to add more to the challenge, but ho hum.

The music is incredible too; like the remixed Kanto theme and the PWT finals theme? Sooo epic. <33

This is easily my favorite aspect of BW2. It's so great that they brought back all of the old gym leaders and champions. It's a much funner way to get Battle Points than the usual battle facilities, imo. I definitely agree with Dragon though, it would have been much better if they had included the Elite Four members of games past as well. But I still love it!

PWT is easily the fandom's most precious facility so far. Despite the hax like its battle facility-cousins, it is still enjoyable, nevertheless.

I would like to see PWT to return in the future, I'm sure most fans would love to! I'm sure a lot of people would love to wonder about the Fairies and Mega Evolutions' performance on that grand stage! ;)

Seriously it was one of the best features in any pokémon game. I mean here you could actualy see that the gym leaders and champions are the strongest trainers in the region. The pokémon were competitive and people who were not into competitive battling would get blown back. And also download tournaments? Damn that was cool. I really miss this.

Loved the concept, never even participated in it once, but I have an aversion to the entirety of Gen V as a whole so I never really fully committed to the game, let alone with the post game content. That being said, however, I would love to see some kind of re-introduction of this into a newer game.

I often found the PWT difficult, even the rental battles since it all stems down to what team you end up getting and certain Pokemon are the key to you winning or losing. I once attempted the Gym Leaders tournament and I got trounced so much, probably gonna stick to the Driftveil Tournament these days.

Aside from the Join Avenue, PWT was the other thing I spent 50% of post game time on. I loved the tournaments and being able to fight NPCs from the past regions. My favourite was definitely the Hoenn tournament. Gave me so many memories of battling the same character but in a different region and with a different team (that's updated in terms of Dex and variety). I wasn't able to download any tournaments, but I was content with whatever the game already had. c:

I loved it and I'm still playing the PWT casually still today, and for some reason I have more luck in Doubles than Singles (although the Doubles is based on one participation). Even during the main game I find myself playing the PWT often before getting to finish the main game, which has been a long time since I took my time to play a Pokemon game.

The music for the PWT is brilliant too and I love the well-done remixes of the original songs.

Ah yes that music... I found the music when you were in the final round so epic, complete with lights circling the battle scenery. The remixes of the previous generation Gym Leader music was also great and definitely gave nostalgic memories to those who played the previous generations.
