8/10.

Loved its slow melody back in New Leaf, so this was definitely a pleasant surprised to hear it to a faster pace in Smash. Catchy and upbeat are without a doubt the particular strengths of this track. It sort gets grating after listening for more than a couple of repeats though. Aside from that, I like it!

Tales of Zestiria - Now Don't Give Up!

Just got to this particular boss fight and it's theme has been stuck in my head for awhile now, haha.

Well, that was quite unexpected. Being a Tales game I was expecting something a little like boss themes from Symphonia/Vesperia/Xillia. Didn't expect an orchestral piece, and one with English vocals at that.

It's not the final boss theme though, is it?

Oh and random number score: 8.5/10

Then for my post:

6.8/10

Protoman's Whistle Concert Theme [Sorry I don't have enough posts to post a link]

9/10.

Beautiful. It's an incredibly fitting theme for the "lone wolf", Protoman. I absolutely love the beginning though. Easily the best part of Protoman's theme.

Tales of Zestiria - Dragon Newt Battle

Well, that was quite unexpected. Being a Tales game I was expecting something a little like boss themes from Symphonia/Vesperia/Xillia. Didn't expect an orchestral piece, and one with English vocals at that.

The joys of bringing Go Shiina to compose some tracks of Tales.

Nope to being the final boss theme though, this just plays for a special boss and is one of the handful of tracks Go Shiina has done for Zestiria. I've only heard few segments of the final boss' theme on a stream, but I haven't gotten to him yet.

Street Fighter love. Never listened to the EX tracks. 7/10

LISTEN TO THOSE FAKE TRUMPETS! ♥♥♥

"Dark World" is perhaps my favorite song from A Link to the Past! I give it a 9/10 with one point from perfection because the sound font hasn't exactly aged well. Have you heard "Dark World" performed by a live orchestra? It's so gorgeous.. ♥♥♥

This track is a bit long, but it's worth a whole listen. I promise.

By far my favourite track in any Final Fantasy game. It fits Zach's journey throughout Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core so perfectly. The part with Aerith's theme in it is particularly beautiful.

Just a link, because I have no idea how to insert the actual video.

Frick I can't stop thinking about this MMD vid where Maxie is dancing to the portion of this song at 0:16. x'D

Ahem. I give it a 9/10. Very energetic song that gets ya pumped up for battle. On a side note, I kinda wish they had made slight audio differences between versions, y'know? I feel this song gives off a more "fiery" feel like a volcano. Like an angry Maxie, for example. Maybe for Archie they could use instruments that give off a feel of a raging ocean wave... Not sure how that would be accomplished, but I know certain instruments can give the "feeling" of elements of nature.

8/10 That sounds like some pretty cool music! So it's for the final boss? It seems like it would suit a boss fight very well.

Super Smash Bros Brawl's remix of Song of Storms from TLoZ: OoT.

Nothin' but memories of ruining that guy's day with this song. Still don't understand how the windmill drains the well though.
That said, I still like the original version better. 6.5/10

Love's Vagrant/Ai no Hōrō-sha (vocal version) from Bravely Default:

It's a nice song but I personally have never been a big fan of singing in general. It's quite nice music, though. 6.5/10

More Brawl music...

Super Smash Bros Brawl's remix of Menu 2 originally from Melee.

8.5/10. Pretty catchy! I think the bass guitar gives it more of an "old school" charm somehow more so than the version heard in Melee and SSB4.

Today I was workin' out to various Final Fantasy battle songs and for one track I was like "I gotta share this with the thread!" Crisis Core's remix of "Those Who Fight Further" from the original FFVII.

I agree with you about Menu 2. I just find it better than the original in general.

That's a nice tune, it has a sort of "calm" vibe while still being exciting. 7.5/10

And here's a change from Brawl: some Portal 2 music (if you haven't played through Portal 2, you simply must)!
The last part of it is epic, but I recommend listening to the whole song since it's fairly short.

It's really pretty music. It might be a little slow starting in the beginning but it's fantastic overall. It's not music I would dance to. But it's really deep and emotional like most of the Legend of Zelda soundtracks.

I give this one a 7 out of 10
