Have you ever had rumors spread about you? Was it true?

Im trying to shake off the rumor that I'm gay at the moment. Its not really helping my chances of getting a girlfriend lol.

Basically it started with me joking with my friends with gay memes and crap, and now its spread.

it doesnt really help that I'm like the gayest straight person ever kek

I went to high school. Yes there were rumors about me on occasion. Sometimes they were true and sometimes they were bullshit. That's life xD

The one rumor I only remember was when in my first semester of university. I met someone I know in high school and she mention people thinking I dropped out and went to community college. That was false, though I think some thought that because of how uptight I was in high school.

I don't remember anybody making rumours up about me at school but there were loads of rumours about everyone else.

In high school there was apparently a small rumor going around that I was dating some guy...that I barely knew, and the most interaction I'd had with him was that he was paired up with me in art class for an assignment.

Thankfully it didn't last long, I denied it since it was not true, some other person was like "wait that guy's in another class of mine, I'll ask him", and then I never heard anything about it again.

I think I heard whispers of another "she's dating this guy" rumor, but in that case it was over someone that I actually did hang out with at times (he was a friend of mine). I heard it as an off-hand comment from somebody else, and I was just like "huh, interesting. Yeah that's not happening though."

Oiy, my LIFE in middle school and high school, basically. I was not well liked in middle school, so some group of girls that really disliked me started a rumor that I had an eating disorder (13 year-olds are brutal). Thankfully it was not true, but that rumor follows me around to this day. I'm sure it doesn't help that I got hit with a couple chronic illnesses and dropped a bunch of weight.

It bothered me a lot back then, but now it's just *kanye shrug* it's not true, so why care? I'm not gonna waste my time trying to convince people who don't want convincing.

in 7th grade there were rumours about me that included not so kind words.. also in 6th grade there were also rumours spread around about me i think about me being lame and having no friends.. and in 8th grade there was a rumour of me wanting to fight this chick. it ended in some..not so good decisions. basically middle school sucked for me if you couldn't tell

In m senior year, there was a rumor going around that I was gay... which was weird, cuz I had a girlfriend at the time that lots of people knew. It was entertaining to gauge the reactions of people that didn't know me well, so I let it go on. XDDDDD

In high school there was a rumor going around that I was a lesbian. I'm not sure why it was started but I never knew until like 3 years after it started. lol I ended up just laughing and being amused by it.

Another was from work. People were going around saying I was mormon or something. I'm still trying to figure this one out.

It's interesting, really. I don't think I've ever heard of any negative rumours about me, whatsoever. Probably because I didn't really associate with people a whole lot during my grade school days, so there wasn't a whole lot that can be said about me.

that was sadly the issue with me though, in middle school. like..i hung out with people, yeah. but it was sort of the "lame" and unpopular group, i guess. i also was weird and..quirky and quiet so i guess people saw me as an easy target and vulnerable and thus rumours were started about me. people suck.

I'm pretty sure there are rumors about me to the right and left. On most occasions when I've found out about such rumors in the past, I've been able to prove them wrong. Not sure if that's good or bad?
