3rd Gen Scott

[Palamon]

Scott was a character in Emerald only that you'd meet throughout your Pokemon Journey. You'd first meet him after helping Wally capture a Pokemon. You then meet him in the Trainer School before battling Roxanne, in two different locations in Slateport City, Mauville City after defeating Wally. You also meet him in Verdanturf Town after getting the Dynamo badge, in Fallarbor Town's Battle Tent, Route 119 after beating your rival, Lilycove City motel, Mossdeep City in front of the Space Center, and finally, Ever Grande City's Pokemon center.

After beating the game, he will invite you to the Battle Frontier. If you complete certain accomplishments within the Battle Frontier, he will give you very rare berries and objects for your secret Base.

What did you think of Scott? I guess he was okay. He was bad at driving in the anime, though.

I never played Emerald but I vividly remember Scott from the anime. I never knew he was also in the games. I think that's really cool and it's a shame he didn't feature in ORAS. I always liked him and I remember him for his reckless driving.

I anticipated that he would be important to the main story.

He was just there in the game, should have played a role in the main story imo for Emerald.

I feel like nothing would've changed at all had I just met him first thing during the post-game. His only purpose is to introduce the Battle Frontier after all.

Also I did not expect his anime version to look like that lmao I thought he'd have a shaved head look because of his OW sprite.

I liked Scott because he massaged my ego 😆
I was surprised at his anime appearance too though, I don't know what I expected but it wasn't that!
He makes Emerald's super-difficult Battle Frontier feel that bit more special though. I think I actually completed the Platinum one whereas I think I only ever beat the tournament facility in Emerald (although the one with the pairing of Pokémon natures and moves was incredibly frustrating, like watching someone else player your game badly, so I didn't miss it).
