Shinies, or Normies?

[PokeCommunity.com] Shinies, or Normies?

Let's say that you've owned all of the pokemon in the world. Thinking of this, would you prefer if all of the pokemon that you owned are shiny pokemon, or do you just prefer them normal? Just in case you're aware, when I say 'shiny pokemon' I mean pokemon that are usually odd colored from their normal pokemon. So, would you generally prefer shiny, or normal pokemon in this scenario?

Pic don't work ;; Haha Normies, never heard that expression before.

There was a RP in an original region I made (you know which one, Shawn ;)) where all the wild pokémon were shiny. It was cool. I like many of the shiny colorations, but certainly not all. Some are just... too much. Too green or too yellow, in many cases. I don't have any problem with the blue or pink ones!

Truthfully though I'd probably want the Normies. Because if you think about it, if all pokémon were Shinies, we'd think Normies were the strange and exciting ones! And then I'd probably be more annoyed with the really strange colorations than I'd be happy for the really cool ones. While the normal colors, we can stand without much problem.

At first, I was gonna say shinies because I like most of the shiny color palettes over the normal ones, with some exceptions (like most of the green shinies, ew), but Rika/Doctor raises a fair point. Though shinies are much more common now thanks to XY, they're still exciting to find for plenty of people (myself included). However, if they were to become commonplace while normies became rarities, I'd be less enthusiastic about finding a normie because most of the color palettes are unexciting compared to those of their shiny counterparts.

tl;dr I'd rather normies be more common.

I'd rather them be normies. :) It's because their coloring seems more realistic and relaxing to my eyes. Or because I'm accustomed to them more, haha.

I think I'd prefer all normies haha, if there were to be one Pokémon in my team that was shiny I think that would be more special and exciting somehow, but in all honesty the majority of the Pokémon I like I prefer their regular appearances :)

I like both, but there's a lot of shinies whose coloring is too similar to the normal color or just being a lighter or darker shade of the normal colors. So yeah, it basically depends on the Pokemon itself on which one I prefer.

Shinies all the way.
What can I say? I'm a shiny hunter for lyfe. /insert gang sign here

I love every shiny Pokemon and typically prefer shinies over 'normies'.
They make me a very happy Milk. <3

I have actually popped some cheats into a few pokemon games, and it changes all of the encounters/gifts etc into shiny pokemon. It was cool for a little while, but got a little old and annoying. I wonder if shiny pokemon in that cheat are supposed to be normal.

While there are some shiny Pokemon that I like, I think I'd much rather have all of them normal if I had each Pokemon in existence. Plus, I'd think groups like Team Rocket would find out if a trainer had over 700 shiny Pokemon in their possession, and I don't know if I'd want to deal with that all the time- so just the 'normies' for me, please.
Ohwait did we mean if I owned ONE of every pokémon species and everybody else had whatever? Then I'd certainly want mine to be shiny :D I'd be so cool and still get to see the "normal" colors once in a while when I battle others.

I actually prefer most of them normal, so I guess I'll go with normal. Most of them look very nice as they already are. ^^

Some of the shinies are better than their originals, but more often than not, the colors look odd and unnatural on the Pokemon. I'd prefer to have all of them non-shiny, simply for this reason. Subtle changes to the colors look nice, but for example, Scizor, complete overhauls can look terrible. :[
