31645 Jagged Pass encounters

Wow, I might actually get to 3x the mean! Usually around 10,000 encounters I'm all like,
"Darn, this hunt is taking a long time!" :pink_laugh:

Some recent shiny additions to my collection since my last post: Shellder, Poliwag, Ekans, Staryu, Krabby, Litwick, and Cryogonal.
 
Alright so on the 7th I caught a shiny Audino after 375 FS encounters. In total I have four shiny Chansey and two shiny Audino.

Ok so I found my sixth shiny Chansey at 256 FS encounters and caught it. Making five shiny Chansey total in my collection.

Why is this shiny Teddiursa playing hard to get!

The last couple of shinies I've gotten are in order - Fletchling (now Talonflame), Cutiefly (Ribombee), and Popplio (Primarina). All due to swap breeding.

Currently trying to get a Protean Greninja.
 
On the 8th I did a 51 fish chain on X and accidentally broke it, then I did another 14 fish chain and got my 3rd shiny Horsea finishing the line. To evolve I transferred it over to my Y game and leveled it up in an Audino FS for Seadra.


While doing that I fished again for more Horsea, after transferring over a Hypno from OR with Thief and stole a Dragon Scale from a wild Horsea. Luckily it only took 14 reels to get the scale. I then traded Seadra back to X gave it the scale and traded back for Kingdra.

Then later that day this showed up in 967 hordes. It was in total 3,196 hordes on Route 11 with 1 shiny Stunky before it. 1800 without a shiny on Y, 429 for the Stunky on X and this one appearing at 967 also on X. If you times 3,196 by 5 you get 15,980 Nidoran, Stunky and Starly seen with 2 shinies.... I don't have shiny charm btw.

I am still hunting for a shiny Teddiursa by FS encounter (which is literally the only form of increased odds shiny hunting that I have ever had good luck with) and have reached 1355 encounters so far with absolutely no shiny of any kind. I really hope it will be a shiny Teddiursa and not another Chansey or Audino. After wards I wanna get another shiny Teddiursa to evolve and complete the line for a gen 1 shiny living dex but I don't know how I want to hunt for it. I don't want to do FS encounters again. Should I do breeding? Or does Teddiursa show up on hordes? Or should I do Pokéradar? Which one will have have the best luck with in Pokémon X?

[Edit] And I'm hunting without the shiny charm by the way.
 
Hunting on Ten carat hill today, and i got shiny Sableye and Machop. the next would be Carbink and currently hunting for shiny Spinda. so far i got 104/285 Shiny in Sun Moon.
 
I got another failed shiny catch to add to my list of failures. On Sunday, I was looking for shinies in horde battles on Y and I found one with a shiny Geodude. One of the other Geodude used Magnitude which hit the others. Thankfully, the shiny survived it, but then it got a burn from my Talonflame's Flame Body and fainted while I was knocking out the other Geodude.

By the way, I thought of another way I could get shinies easily when the VC version of G/S comes out. I'm gonna do the shiny Ditto glitch where you trade a shiny to a Gen 1 game, teach it mimic and use it to get a shiny Ditto which I'll use for breeding in Gold. For those who don't know, breeding a shiny in Gen 2 gives you a 1/64 chance of producing shiny offspring. That's a lot higher than the Masuda method in later games.

Shinies to be remembered:
Verizion - the one that got away, I was trying to catch a regular Virizion, soft resetted 4 encounters every time it struggled and killed itself, and ran into a shiny. I refused to use my masterball cause I was hoping to save it for the main legendary (Kyruem) (which was a big mistake cause i caught it in a ultraball first try later. It struggled and I lost that shiny Virizion.
Eevee - hatched one for my friend in about 30 eggs, she is taking care of it now.
First shiny Cascoon - before i even know what a shiny Pokemon was, I caught a shiny Cascoon and evolved it in my Pokemon Platinum. Dustox just wasn't as exciting as Cascoon, and I ended up losing the game.

Plans on what to hunt next?:
Swap breeding for Mimikyu at the moment, then for the starters starting with Litten and ending with Rowlet.
For SOS, probably Alolan Sandshrew or Alolan Vulpix. Cant wait for UltraSun and UltraMoon

I own 123 other shinies, however they are all from trades so i do not count them. I actively trade them around for other shinies.
 
finally got Carbink and Spinda yesterday. which means i already got shiny in Ten Carat Hill. i'm now getting shiny Magnemite, which almost killed it that i didn't recognize it was shiny. now all route one shiny has been completed. going to take a break SOS by soft-reset the Type Null.

I feel like I've already won something just by reaching that number, haha. My name should go in an SHC record book somewhere...

*goes to SHC archives but has to wait in line because all the archivists are busy etching in Maserati's records, although he's breaking records faster than the archivists can write them down so the wait time is infinite* {XD}

i stopped SR for Type Null that i would be doing on Eid Mubarak Holiday. currently i got Finneon and Tentacool from SOS in sun moon so currently i got 109/285. trying to complete Alola Regional shiny dex before continue hunting on X and AS.
 
Today I found a second shiny Whismur in 545 hordes and plan to evolve it to Loudred.

Then later I found a duplicate shiny Audino in 29 FS encounters while leveling up Pokemon since Audino gives a lot of exp.

The Audino is actually my first FS shiny since May 2nd when I got a Forretress. I've been horde hunting mostly for the last month and a half.
 
adding to my list. i got 2 Abras from route 2 and Hau'oli City, plus accidentally hatch shiny Porygon. next target would be Route 2 and Hau'oli Cemetery Pokemon.

that's great. good luck for your breeding. getting shiny with specific HP would be really hard to do for me. i wish you good luck.

Finally got my first Shiny in about 3 months!

I was getting tired of hatching eggs (again) and decided to take a break and raise my Shiny Wormadam (Sandy Cloak) some more. I hoping for a Shiny female Snorunt during the process and ended up finding one before Mica grew a level! :D

Neva the Shiny Froslass, my sixth full-odds Sun/Moon Shiny (and first Shiny of my second play-through). One of my favorite Pok?mon to boot! I caught her in a Love Ball. I had dropped Froslass from my team since there wasn't anything that felt particularly special about that Froslass, but now I have a reason to re-add it. :D

No-good, awful, terrible, hideous, very bad nature, but I'm not gonna let that stop me from using her! Also gonna have to make some art of her sometime.

After I finish raising her, I'll get back to trying for a full-odds Shiny Wartortle, Lickitung, or male Burmy. (I'VE SEEN SO MANY BURMY! @_@)
 
On the 17th I found a shiny Murkrow in 785 hordes.

On the 18th I found my 2nd shiny Wingull in a horde, 3rd overall. Ugh. It was 1805 hordes. I was looking for Slowpoke or Exeggcute.


But later that day I finally found a shiny Koffing in 1477 hordes.
