skincare

been over a year since we had a thread on this, and as someone who has been using various different products i'm really interested to see what the rest of you do (if anything)! how do you take care of your skin? what products do you use? what is your morning/before bedtime routine?

my routine is more complex nowadays! before i'd just wash with a cleanser and use retinol twice a week overnight for pimples, but as of a few months ago it's, in order...

morning - cleanser (especially important since i exercise in the morning which makes me sweaty), toner, vitamin c drops (not every day, but plan to do it most mornings), moisturizer, eye awakening gel, mineral sunscreen (if i plan to go out, otherwise i don't apply since my room has curtains)
evening - cleanser, apply honey mask for 30 or so minutes (twice a week) and then rinse it off with water, toner, moisturizer, ginseng eye cream

every few days i'll also apply vitamin e cream an hour or so before bed to get extra moisture/hydration/improve redness. will be getting banila co cleansing balm in the mail tomorrow, which will be another step added to my evening routine for when i wear sunscreen and need to wash it off! mineral sunscreen clings to the face pretty strongly and is tough to wash off with my usual cleansers.

I suffer from dry skin and eczema in the winter, and at other parts of the year, so I have some super moisturiser I use in the morning and evening after a shower. Other than that, just the standard wash I guess!

I wash my face with a cleanser and use a topical cream that are both prescribed by a dermatologist.

I wash my face with an acne cleanser, it's pretty much a necessity.

I have oily skin and use an astringent cleanser and an oil free acne wash almost religiously. I also like to exfoliate pretty regularly, and I even make my own sugar scrubs. c:

I just wash my face with water and then put a light moisturiser on morning and night, that's it!

Cheap skincare products have always ended badly and I can't afford luxury beauty products, so this will have to do. ;__; But I'm lucky that I have small pores and clear skin for the most part, I only break out if I eat bad food or skip washing my face.

Water, diet, plenty of rest, exercise, a healthy attitude and staying out the sun is the best skincare regime. :)

Morning - Warm water wash, then I use a facial scrub (I chose between one of two; charcoal or my cucumber one). Then rinse, but pat dry.
I just use moisturiser cream, if I'm about to go outside.

Night - I use soap and water. Cold water to seal.

At least twice a month, I use a hardening/revitalising skin care mask. They seem to work best. If I run out, I use a mudpack solution (I can't recall the name of it), but it's refreshing. #

i need to wash off my night cream...oops

Was able to develop a routine since quarantine started. My skin is the same type as a newborn baby so I have to have products that work with sensitive skin, lotion, night cream, moisturizer etc. I'm also using anti-wrinkle products because my skin gets so tired after starting at the computer for so long.

My go-to brand is Burt's Bees. Expensive, but well worth it for my skin.

I also use a pure aloe vera peel-off face mask every week.

I wanted to get into the skincare game until I saw just how expensive some good quality products can get. Until I earn more I'm sticking to water and whatever face wash my aunt buys that I can borrow (right now it's Ponds Men or something lmao).
