Once upon a time, there was a town full of tiny midgets. Despite the fearsome dragon stalking them, they wouldn't stop working. They were proud creatures that took joy in working and advancing their civilization, so they refused to bow down to the evil dragon. But the evil dragon wants to make them his slaves and make them work for him for eternity of their life. This atrocity had tainted the scenery, causing the once fertile lands to become barren and desolate. They already tried everything to kill the dragon, swords, bows, spears not a single one of them worked. Due to their desire to protect their civilization from the dragon, they began crafting new tools and new weaponry at a rate faster than other neighboring races. One day, one of the midgets discovered something amazing. It was a fresh, shiny piece of cheese at the size of your average bungalow! Little did they know, the cheese was the dragon's weakness. Despite this, the one true Midgetwho called the area her domain knew the ins and out of cheeses-Gouda camember, Grana pedano, Stilton, Brie, manchego-unfortunately, she was rather old and decrepit, so she couldn't observe the cheese herself. Luckily, she had a young apprentice, and taught him all her secrets; but he lives very far away, so they called their best adventurer, Bulbo Bigginz, to search for him. He joined the green arrow (the one who should not be there) and Katniss Evercheese ( the one made up)in the mighty quest to defeat the dragon. Together they rode a long way, fearing not the evil creatures, nor the hazardous nature of the dreadful road ahead of them. On their way to find the Apprentice, they came across a large mountain range that stretched as far as the eye could see. They climbed the mountain and came across a hut where they saw a shadowy figure coming towards them. It was none other than the young apprentice, Gundolf the Gray, but he seemed different, like something -or someone- had brought out his evil side, which he always had struggled to hide from the world. Bulbo attempted to explain the situation to Gundolf - "Gundolf, we need your help to identify some cheese!"Not much later, Gundolf was inspecting the cheese my all possible means - sight, smell, taste, touch - and when none of these seemed to give a clear answer, he opened his third eye and soon enough the surroundings were filled with an odd magic power. The power overcame him, transmitting his energy and being into a sort of celestial being which transmitted him into some sort of god status. With newfound power flowing through Gundolf, he at last identified the cheese. He said that it was the legendary Dragonslaying Cheese, and the only way to kill the dragon was to somehow feed it the Cheese. It was then that Bulbo recalled the Dragon's appetite for cheese when it was specifically ground into dust. He opened his bag and took out a magical blender and the next moment all that was left was a small pouch filled with the purest cheesedust. So, then Bulbo and co. traveled back to the town of midgets, and formulated a plan to force the dragon to eat the cheese!
They got near the dragon shelter and layed some traps, and they attracted the dragon with barbecue.

Time is up! Winning team will be declared soon. The losing team will join me at Tribal Council soon enough.

Spoiler:

NIGHT 1 - TRIBAL COUNCIL

The winners are..ESCARGOT!

For winning this Challenge, you all are safe from TRIBAL COUNCIL tonight with me. SALTZEN, you'll be joining me tonight at Tribal Council where one of you will be voted off.

As Tribal Council begins, feel free to discuss among yourselves the events of the Day's Challenge. Feel free to answer any of the following questions, or remain silent. It's up to you.

For roughly the next 12 hours, we will be in the discussion phase of Tribal Council. You may freely respond to each other, talk, and otherwise decide on who should be voted out of the game.

After those 12 hours, you MUST submit a name privately to me (via PM) on WHO you want to vote out and WHY. Once the first twelve hours are up, you MUST vote. However: If you're sure on your decision, you can submit a vote at any time.

Feel free to answer the following questions, and once again, feel free to begin discussion among the group about today:

What do you feel went wrong at the challenge today?

Did everyone pull their weight?

What's more important this early in the game: strategy for later in the game OR strength of the tribe?

Remember: this Tribal Council is ONLY for SALTZEN. ESCARGOT tribe should NOT post at all.

If you have a hidden immunity idol and want to play it, you must PM me saying so before the official vote begins (12 hours from now).

Meaning: in!

Okay soooo

What do you feel went wrong at the challenge today?

Totally jd, Naku, and GreyDoof who never continued to post the story. If we had, we would have probably won.

Did everyone pull their weight?

Tbh I'd like to say those three didn't but then again, I don't want to blame them entirely because who knows, they were probably sleeping, or they didn't have internet. :x

What's more important this early in the game: strategy for later in the game OR strength of the tribe?

Personally, both imo. You'd want your tribe to win so that you don't risk losing enough members but then you also wanna strategize because at the end of the game, it's either you or them. :/ Probably this early in the game tho, probably the strength of the tribe is more important.

Overall we just got hit by attendance issues. Some people can't be here all the time and some people don't pay attention enough to realize the time restraints of things. The team is overall pretty balanced, losing anyone won't put us into danger either way as far as strength or strategy, but we should take ability to be here into account as shitty as that sounds as a reasoning.

Okay, well...

What do you feel went wrong at the challenge today?

Like Davepetasprite^2 said, jdthebud, Nakuzami, and GreyBidoof didn't post.

Did everyone pull their weight?

Yea! Everyone did! Those three were probobly sleeping, or lost Internet, or were banned from screens.

What's more important this early in the game: strategy for later in the game OR strength of the tribe?

I'd say strategy for later. The mind is stronger than the body.

What went wrong today?

I think there was just a lot of inactivity from some members. Perhaps if we quoted people on every update to the story we would've been able to finish, but whatever, I feel like my history leaves me in a bad position to talk about inactivity. It was just disheartening to see Escargot so eager and active in the thread when we were not.

What's more important: strategy or strength?

Definitely teamwork at this stage of the game. We have a whole other team to squash before we should go down eachother's throats.

The last thing I'm going to do is vote someone off based on quantity of activity alone, being someone who has a lot of things to manage as it is. Sorry, but that's my empathy for you.

Besides, Klippy did say, you have to be active in the game for the optimum amount of excitement in the game

Personally, we should vote from the 3 people who didn't continue on with the story. I know it sounds harsh but think about it. We did everything to post, and it was up to those 3 to pull it together but not one of them showed up. I'd reserve my further comments later, so I wanna hear you guys on what to do.

Sorry guys, I totally thought I would have time to post today but nope. :x Will be more intentional about posting in this game in the future for sure.

What do you feel went wrong at the challenge today?
Attendance issues of course. I thought the story was shaping up to be better than Escargot's.

Did everyone pull their weight?
Those who were posted their story sentences did for the most part. However, I thought there could have been more discussion about where the story was going or ideas for future sentences. Obviously I was part of that issue...

What's more important this early in the game: strategy for later in the game OR strength of the tribe?
If I have to choose, it would be strength of the tribe. We don't know what future challenges will bring, and winning the challenges is the best way to advance closer to winning the game. This early in the game, it's hard to know what any good strategies will be.

As for who to vote off, it's probably best to vote from Naku, GB and me. Those who were active should get a pass this time.

I suggest everyone on Saltzen look through the posts of your teammates to inform your decision, I think it would be best to avoid finger pointing and instead formulate your own opinions based on the information available.

That being said however, I do think aeternum has an excellent point.

Voting off "inactives" is a good way to go. It's better to keep weaker players around so that you can easily get rid of them in later stages, so if a stronger player isn't around for a day, kill 'em.

Speaking of which, vote me out of the game please. I've found that I have almost no interest in the UG at the moment, the main reason probably being that I'm already getting sick of Until Dawn mafia, and I just don't care enough to log on and keep up with this game. Sure, that feeling could change as early as tomorrow for all I know, but whatever.
