Does anyone follow cricket ~_~? Women's World Cup Final on right now - India vs England. Let's hope the Indian girls give us something to cheer about, after the Men faltered big time in the Champions Trophy Final.

Pika Pika :chu:

I don't watch any sports, but I find it interesting how the UK has managed to have multiple teams. England and Scotland do their own thing at least, but I'm not sure about Wales and Northern Ireland.

Imagine if India or the US were allowed to do that. :O

Of all the places in the world I thought Canada would be one of the ones pushing womens's sport. ''It's 2015'' (+2).

We get plenty of women's sport on our tv. Just today we've got the football and cricket as well as men's and women's diving, swimming and athletics. That's all on major channels, there will be more on the other ones.

I quite enjoy watching twitter when women's football is on. Loads of people making comments about how they rarely watch football but they enjoy the women's game and think they should get even pay. Completely ignoring the fact that men play in front of 10s of thousands of fans paying 50 quid a ticket whereas women play in front of a few hundred people paying 3 quid a ticket. You also get lots of comments about diving by men that clearly care more about their beards than the sport - of course when one of them does dive it's still not their fault, they're just following what the men do.

Basically I'll watch women's tennis and enjoy it, other sports if they're representing England or GB.

Of course anime about women's sport is the best.

Canada definitely pushes women's sports. In one of the last Olympics while we were in the mid-teens in terms of total gold count, we were #1 in gold from women's events. And we hosted the last Women's World Cup because nobody else wanted it. xD

But that's all international. Nationally, the NHL is mostly all that people care about.

It's kind of amazing that still exists really.

I mean this is the same world that ripped Sepp Blatter to pieces in 2004 for suggesting that women footballers play in more feminine clothing to boost viewing figures.

To be fair American football is far more sexualized than soccer like just look at NFL Cheerleaders. Wouldn't it be unsafe to play football like that though when you got tackled?
