I actually knew a guy who was a cheerleader once

To be fair American football is far more sexualized than soccer like just look at NFL Cheerleaders. Wouldn't it be unsafe to play football like that though when you got tackled?

Well, people care mostly about the entire show around the game rather than the game itself.

I really wanted to do cheerleading a couple years ago but I'm a bit too fat tbh.

i would love to say no honey you're beautiful and you can cheerlead all you want!! but i don't understand the context in (i assume) american high schools and id probably just sound real ignorant derp

I mean, the LFL wears about as much padding as the men in the NFL do. And apparently cheerleaders are a thing at some teams' stadiums in soccer, per the video Vogue linked on the last page.

Now, I don't know about everyone, but I do know that most people I know are watching American football to, well, watch the game.

Well, people care mostly about the entire show around the game rather than the game itself.

I can't speak to the casual to hardcore ratio among viewers, but I'm watching American football games to watch American football and hopefully end up watching my team win. Fantasy football this side of the pond is about American football and is far and away the biggest fantasy sport in the United States, so a substantial amount of those not watching specifically for American football are watching to keep up on how their fantasy players are doing.

My school had a cheerleading group but I barely went that year and I was scared to ask about it. I'm just scared because I don't know how to tumble and stuff.

High School was obviously awful because high schoolers are awful but I had a close knit group of a few friends and it was a very small of only 100. The campus was nice and cute and small and teachers were great. But yeah, high schoolers are awful.

I do miss my high school days, am hardly in touch with most of my school/college friends. Still talk to a few of them occasionally though. And surprisingly, I'm still in touch with a couple of my teachers.

I've just graduated from high school and I know I'll miss it for some reason, especially for all the fun stuff me and my classmates have done and for the awesome school trips. I won't miss the entire afternoons and sometimes evenings I've spent studying various subjects though. {XD}
Overall it has been a pretty nice experience and I'd have never thought about me saying this 5 years ago when I first entered that school.

My high school experience was fine. I spent most lunch breaks in the library reading books(of course). I was also a member of the trivia team, and we made it to provincials three years in a row and were able to travel to Toronto to compete. ^_^ In our last year this conflicted with prom, but we all went to Toronto anyway haha.

I used to take part in lots of sports & other extra curricular activities, participated in lots of inter school/college Events. Really miss all that.
