Terraria

I've primarily made this thread to find out if people here would be interested in having a multiplayer Terraria session :D

I've always loved Terraria ever since I got introduced to it, played the console version when it was announced and played around with various mods. even had Disturbed blow up my precious constructions
Would love to play it with people from PC ^^

Oh gosh, i've not played Terraria in years.
I stopped after Starbound came out. But, Starbound wasn't too great in my eyes, but never went back to Terraria.

I liked Terraria a lot! I haven't played it in many, many years (since like, it first came out) but it was still a fun ride. I was another one who moved to Starbound though, the pixel art was just incredible! :o

Yes please!!!! Although this is on the basis that you and Jake won't blow everything up.......

The question is, will we be using Mods or not? Otherwise, I'm more than happy to get something set up akin to the PC Minecraft server and get this on the road!

With regards to Starbound: yeah it looked nicer but lacked so much substance, so sad...

Honestly, I'd be down for either as I adore certain mods such as Calamity, but I'm ok with Vanilla too, depends on interest tbh.
Thanks to the magic of Steam it's quite easy to set everything up, even I can do it \ :v /

I'm down to play Terraria, I've played shockingly few hours of multiplayer. I'd likely only be around on weekends though. Working 40 hours a week really cuts into weekday game time.

Lilly here. and yeah i'd be down to play some terraria and bully kingsman i mean urm yeh

I really want to get into this because I love combat-focused games but I really suck at building and that's mainly what I'm concerned about orz...

the building isn't that important really. It's all 2D so theres even less to worry about building-wise imo.

I WOULD BE SO DOWN

I'm the opposite of Angie in these games, I just get lost in building and prefer to stay home with the women and children when the blood moon comes, so if we got enough people on the server to let that happen I am all for it (though I am not opposed to helping hold down the fort/village if needed)

I wouldn't mind trying. I only ever played once, mind, so I would be a newbie. I bet I forgot a bunch about it already too, haha.

You can keep NPCs in tiny boxes with a table, chair, and a torch and the NPCs really don't care. :P

You can build nice stuff in Terraria, but the focus on the game really is combat and progressing to the next area/tier of shiny things. Don't feel bad if you can't build anything pretty because neither can I lol

OH MY GOD SAME let's go on a building adventure together

oh snap that's a lot of interest :o

so like I think just vanilla would be the best for now

Certainly seems that way! The great thing is that because of how the game is, we can cater to all the casuals, builder-only, combat-only whatever whatever, I suppose we better start looking into getting this put together then!

Will we be looking into a dedicated server for that? I've only played on one where you need the host running the game for others to be able to join, but I wonder if we can do it so it's up 24/7, like we did with the old Minecraft servers. Servers on Minecraft cost a monthly fee to run though, wonder if that's the case for Terraria as well? Idk, like I said I really only played on one lol

I'd be down for it. I never played modded before, but I have played a lot of Terraria in vanilla.
Also if anyone wants me to, I could do the building. I'm not really good but it's what I usually focus on in multiplayer games.
This might be a good excuse to add each other on Steam maybe? ;D
