Well in a scientific setting, tomatoes are classified as fruit. This is because tomatoes grow from the ovary of the flower that they start out as, and to some this is a very important factor, they contain seeds within them. However, there are those who also designate tomatoes as vegetables, but this is more-so in a cooking setting rather than scientific. For those cooking with tomatoes, they are known to be vegetables because of the way the prepare meals with them. Tomato-involved dishes are "savory" rather than "sweet" like other fruit-related dishes. So in a way, tomatoes are both a fruit and a vegetable, but if I had to go with one or the other, I'd take the side of science and call it a fruit.

Nevermind I was gunna send this in but thats appearantly all that 'makes them a fruit'? Answer: Tomatoes are a vegitable cause fruits are juiced but vegitable juice is disgusting and should not be a thing and ketchup while absolutely delicious is not a smoothie.

A tomato is botanically a fruit as it is a product of a plant, and has seeds in it, and is classified as a berry.

A tomato is also culinary defined as a vegetable, as it is best accompanied with savory foods.

Knowledge is knowing tomato is a fruit, wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

Fruits are developed from the ovary in the base of the flower & contain the seeds of the plant (though cultivated forms may be seedless). Since tomatoes are the part of the tomato plant that bears seeds, botanically, we can classify them as fruits. But Tomatoes have a much lower sugar content than other edible fruits & are thus not as sweet.

In culinary however, Tomatoes are the edible part of the tomato plant & have a savory rather than sweet taste, so they are classified as culinary vegetables. An exception is that Tomatoes are treated as a fruit in home canning practices, as they are acidic enough to process in a water bath rather than a pressure cooker as vegetables require.

So, the correct answer would be that a Tomato is technically the fruit of the Tomato plant, but is used as a vegetable in cooking.

But then, I guess it doesn't matter as long as I get the ketchup, coz there's no cooking disaster a large load of ketchup can't fix.

A tomato is at once both and neither, a strange conundrum of a food that confuses scholars and farmers alike with its subjective existence. In technicality it is a fruit, but never would you make jam or dessert from it. In practice it is a vegetable, but not one of the abominable "healthy" foods people with unrefined tastes tend to loathe. It exists on a blurred line, living a strange and suspect existence, at once included in all categories but excluded as well. The only agreed upon fact is that it is not an animal, and yet maybe one day even that will come into question.

In a fight between a tiger and a lion, a tiger would win.

Tigers are heavier then lions at the same size, which proves that the tiger may have more muscle as muscle is heavier than fat. However, lions are known to be stronger and win past fights.

The main reason a tiger would win is because this is a one on one fight. Tigers fight independently and are much more used to attacking prey this way. Lions fight in packs and work together to take down the opponent. So in a fight like this, one tiger would beat one lion, but the lions would beat the tiger.

Therefore the tiger would win since this is tiger vs lion, not tiger vs lions

Even though both have their advantages and importances in nature and the tiger vs. lion topic is very controversial, I'll try to explain from my point of view, why the tiger would obviously win : P The lion, considered the king of the jungle, does not even live in the jungle, but the tiger does, making him the real king of the jungle : P Not only does the tiger win when it comes to efficiency and strenght by hunting down his prey by himself, unlike the lion who depends on the female lions, but also is it the more graceful and beautiful one : P Last but not least, tigers can survive in several environments, unlike the lion, who only lives in the savannah. If the question is, who wins at life, one could say the lion is winning at life, with his female lions hunting his food for him.

Tigers and lions are both majestic creatures. One rules the plains, the other rules the jungle. Naturally, tigers weigh more than lions do, but they aren't that much different in size. The only reason why the tiger weighs more is because it has more muscle mass than the lion, with the tiger weighing in as much as 800 lbs. In ancient times, battles were held between a tiger and a lion. Though there aren't many, if at all any, recorded outcomes of the fight but old paintings/artwork depicted the tiger winning over the lion. The tiger having the superiority over the lion could also be supported by a tiger attacking and killing a lion within a zoo back in 2011. It has been said that tigers are naturally more aggressive than lions are, and that zoo accident sounds like it should be more than enough proof. If we were to put a tiger up against a lion in a battle-to-the-death-style match today, I have no doubt that the tiger would remain prosperous over the lion.

Tigers & Lions are majestic big cats & more effort should be put into saving them from extinction. But in a one-on-one battle, Tigers will always have an advantage, lets analyze how.

Lion live in prides of about 30 & its the lionesses who do most of the hunting, while the Lions are more like protectors of the pride & ward off any take over attempts from other Lions. Tigers on the other hand are solitary creatures, only socializing on occasions & hunt on their own, so they have that killer instinct & are more battle-ready than Lions.

Although Tigers are heavier, weighing up to 800 pounds to the lion's 550, their isn't much of a size difference between them. Muscle weighs more than fat, which helps explain the Tiger's extra pounds & would thus give it a physical advantage.

Tigers also have a better bite force. Adjusted for body mass allometry (BFQ) for a Tiger its 127, while for a Lion is 112.

In a fight both creatures will have to rear up to both block & strike. On hind legs a Tiger has more leverage than the Lion. The Lion's mane does protect its neck from most attacks, but the Tiger has powerful rear claws & can use them to dig into the Lion's belly, if he can get him on the ground. It can also easily land potent swipes with its front paws & its 3 inch long claws.

So keeping all those factors in mind, a Tiger is most likely to come out on top in a head-on battle.

I'm only gonna reveal who the Top 3 Entries belonged to, I'll tell u why in a bit.

So the Winner of the Challenge with 105 Points, is Entry #9, i.e. urs truly - LegendChu ^^.

The Runner-Up with 85 Points, is Entry #4, i.e. urs truly again - LegendChu ^^.

The Second Runner-Up with 35 Points, is Entry #8 - LadyLucina ^^.

But like I said, one of u will win the Challenge, so discarding my two entries, the Winner of the Challenge who is Safe from Elimination for this Leg of the Race & the First Member making it into the TOP 5 is LadyLucina. Congratulations Lucina {:3}!

So let's get back to the situation. LadyLucina is the only one who hasn't voted yet. Her Votes will decide who makes it through & who doesn't, which is the reason why I haven't revealed yet, to whom the other 7 entries belong to. But I can't extend the Voting much more. I'm gonna give Lucina about 6 more hours to Vote. If she doesn't, then unfortunately, I'll have to count it as a Self-Vote.

Now let's get to the interesting part. One of u has a Pass in their possession. As soon as I announce the end of the Voting process, u can use ur Pass immediately. It has already been explained to u, how u got to use it, so I'm sure there's no confusion there.

If even after the Pass has been used, there's still a tie, which of course there's likely to be, then the only other option is to take into consideration, the Points u have scored in the Challenge, which will be the fairest thing to do in this situation. The lowest two scorers (including Members who haven't scored any Points) will be Eliminated from the Race.

Unless......! Yes there is another option. As I said, about 6 more hours before I close the Voting. If anyone wishes to change their Votes, to avoid a situation where we are sure to end up in a tie, they can do so within these six hours. So girls u created the situation, but if u want u can change it. Change ur Votes or let the Points decide the Eliminations, everything is in ur hands now.

This is gonna be very interesting. It all depends on whether Lucina votes or not, or any of u decide to change their Votes. Any which way, two Members will be eliminated, that's for sure. The question is, who those Members will be. The next few hours will determine who are going to be the TOP 5 on The Amazing PC Race.
