What made you join this club? I Reay Love Lucario And Lucario Is Steel Type That's Why I Join This Club

What is your favorite Steel-type Pokémon? My Favorite Lucario

Welcome to the club!

Lucario is certainly an really popular Pokemon isn't he? I think because of all the spotlight he got with his own movie and special promotions will cement his place in Pokemon history as one of the most popular Pokemon ever. I know I am a huge fan of him because he is really a cool and unique Pokemon. Lucario is super strong and even is part of an evolutionary line with a baby Pokemon <3 Great choice of partner imo!

Oh awesome!

To answer the current topic though, I am going to have to say Jasmine. I feel that she was such an interesting character and the sidequest she sent you on to fetch medicine for Amphy showed that she has a huge heart and cares for Pokemon a lot. She ignored her duties as a leader to care for Amphy. I also liked the fact that she was the original Steel specialist and that will always make her stand out to me.

Definitely Steven. I like how he was the mysterious Steven Stone in R/B/E. His dad told you to give him a letter and you go to him and find out he's a strong steel type trainer. Then in Ruby and Sapphire he is also the champion. And to top it off, i just love his team.

Also, jellicentmaster, congrats on becoming co-owner.

What made you join this club? Although I've never really gushed about steel types before, I noticed now that I like quite a handful of 'em. It would be lovely for me to discuss them more with other folks.

Skarmory has a nice slick design with an awesome touch of crimson red. I like using him as my flier in Crystal. :3 Plenty of Steel types are cool, such Metagross, Escavalier, Scizor, Steelix, Aggron, etc. Skarmory is my favorite because his feathers are sharp as blades and can be separately moved, see see!

Jirachi's blue tears are awesome, what you talking about?! I love its star piece head and the yellow tags/ribbons. It's a very neat legendary Pokemon, though its third eye sometimes creeps me out... Nonetheless, very adorable.

Jasmine is beautiful and caring, so that's why I'm fond of her. She also isn't what one would expect having the steel type Pokemon.

We seem to have a good amount of members now, maybe I could do one event before next semester starts. If you have a good suggestion, feel free to PM me.

Favourite Steel specialist? Has to be Steven. That guy had 'cool' down to a tee and the idea of a Steel champion was incredibly cool. I do love Jasmine, she's a wonderful woman, but Steven just takes the cake haha. His Metagross is an exceptionally cool Pokémon and his whole team just strikes "I'm a badass", which is very fitting for a champion. I also love his use of fossils which complement the Steel-types well and his use of moves like Iron Claw and Steel Wing which give Steel types a huge boost. He did the E4 proud <3

Definitely one of the best champions we have ever had imo. I was a little disappointed when they replaced him as champion with Wallace in Emerald.

Oh man I know, that was a huge let down haha. What made them think a Water-type champion was a better idea than such a cool Steel-type champion? I think Steel was a really fitting type for a champion to take - it's such a cool, solid and impressive type with that 'wow' factor needed by a champion's team. Water is such a 'lol okay here's yet another Water-type' kind of type whereas Steel is a 'wow, that Pokémon's pretty badass...' type, so it's very fitting for a champion to use. Also Aggron's coolness? Forget about it. 8D

Also welcome, shadow! :)

What made it more disappointing was we JUST fought a water specialist as the final gym leader and then they make us fight another :(. I would have much rather fought Steven as the champion maybe even making him stronger than he was in Ruby or Sapphire by expanding on his steel team possibly giving him even stronger Steel Pokemon!

I have to agree with this... I loved Steven as champion. Id rather face Metagross, Aggron and more awesome Steel types than Water types like Wailord. There should be more Steel Gym Leaders or E4 imo.

Agreed! But what stronger Pokémon could they really have given him? He already had Skarmory, Aggron and Metagross - weren't those the three most powerful Steel-types introduced at the time? I guess he could also have used Scizor which would beef his team up a tad, maybe throw in Forretress too, but I'm not sure they really fit in with his theme haha. Steven Stone using a mantis? Maybe not... ;p What would you guys give him?

I'd say i would go for:
Metagross, Magneton, Skarmory, Mawile, Aggron and Scizor

I would loved to have seen his Skarmory from Ruby and Sapphire replaced with Scizor. Yes he would have a huge weakness to fire types, but that extra Power on his team would have been fascinating to see and would have definitely presented an extra challenge for those who chose Sceptile as their starter.

Jasmine is definitely my fave Steel specialist, she's got a bit of a shy personality yet the battle with her is not to be taken lightly. For reasons as said above, you'd never even expect her to use Steel-types. Also, I love how cute her Japanese name (Mikan) sounds!

You know how when there's a test and you have those multiple choices? Usually there's one called all of the above, so can I choose that? I really like all of them actually. However if that's not the case then it's a tie between Jasmine and Steven. Both of them are very different people but I find their personalities impossible not to like. You've got Jasmine- she treats her Pokemon more than tools of war.

She cares for them, she treats them like family, she even goes out of her way to help them. In real life, I'd say its pretty damn good if you take some time out of your day to help a sick Pokemon feel better. Staying by their side is even more better. While she wasn't the most challenging gym leader I've ever faced she's just such a sweet and caring person.

And then we have Steven. The guy becomes a champion with him and his incredibly tough team. Skarmory, Aggron, all sorts of things running around. They can do serious damage and are some of the highest-leveled Pokemon in the game. And who replaces him in Emerald? A damn guy with an umbrella for his head who wants you to dance. Well done Gamefreak, well done. I applaud you. But Steven doesn't give a damn that he doesn't have his position anymore! He goes traveling around Hoenn and tries to help new trainers out. He's so laid-back and easy going along with a calm nature. He's born to be a true champion, its like in his blood. And he never gives up! Despite being defeated and replaced, he just goes to Meteor Falls to toughen himself up and wait for a challenger who is brave enough to face him. Steven, you are badass. Enough said. :)
