From blinding rain in Boardman to wires down in the city, first-responders were busy Monday afternoon after the latest band of storms to moved through the Valley.

Local safety-service forces and road departments also were dealing with the aftermath that included roads littered with limbs, trees and wires and buildings heavily damaged. There were no injuries reported despite the ferocity of the weather.

Mark Pisciuneri was at the Royal Oaks bar across the street when the storm hit.

"It sounded like a train was coming down the street," Pisciuneri said. "Then we came outside and all of a sudden we saw the roof of the Six Brothers car lot is just completely blown off."

On the West Side, power was out to the plaza housing the Mill Creek Deli on South Schenley Avenue. A power line was smoking, smoldering in the trees and sparking on the ground.

Bob Ramahli, owner of the deli, said he thought all the windows would be broken.

"It was like a couple of explosions," Ramahli said.

Also, two trees fell over on my street, one of which took out the cable, and left it lying in the middle of a busy road, which had to be blocked off until today. And next door a couple of big branches landed on their house, causing a window and stuff to break in their bathroom, and their back porch was covered in tree. I actually saw most of this happen.
 
damn my phone broke

first, none of the buttons or switches worked (like the ringer switch and home button and off button). only the screen worked.

so i updated the phone and it kinda restarted i guess

then i continued my music, but it suddenly stopped

then my phone crashed and i can't even press the home button, so i plugged my phone in (it was at like 80% or so) because the on button didnt work.

now its doing some weird loading crap. this is annoying...
 
It turns out it was just updating lol

for some reason it didnt begin updating until like a minute later, which led to my confusion.

this is why technology and I dont always have a great relationship
 
The sound wasnt working on my iphone yesterday. I literally turned the phone off and on again. Worked.
