Reminds me: Halloween themed wallpapers is one of the fun things that people make during October. I'm saying this because I could use a new one...
Banned for being scarier and scarier with each post!

Halloween wasn't a holiday here when I grew up.
Nowadays it does get attention, but there's a similar dutch holiday around the same time of the year so it's got competition.
Edit:
Actually... that competitor might not even be a national holiday but perhaps a local one. Google just told me it gets celebrated in parts of the Netherlands rather than everywhere xD
Makes me wonder if Halloween is just not much of a thing where I live =o

you seem easily scared for some inexplicable reason =o
Surely you know Megan is a benevolent Empress who wouldn't harm her subjects without cause? 😇

We actually don't celebrate Halloween, either. Instead we have a local holiday ("Reformation Day" or what I like to call it: "Martin Luther did a thing-Day"), as well. Unfortunately, this year is very rude in terms of holidays, putting almost all of them on the weekends so I have to spend even more time with work...
am i doing this right

I think Halloween is an American thing, we don't celebrate it in Europe as far as I know ^^"
Being in a formerly Christian country, we do celebrate All Saint's Day in my country.

It's all a conspiracy by the Monday council! They want you to have more Mondays D=

Idk about elsewhere, but it's made its way into elementary schools here at least. They like make costumes and go trick or treating.
Kids are obviously fine with it cuz candy xD
I'm not bothered by it though. I live too remotely for any kids to bother coming all the way here anyway xD

Well it started with Samhain, and since I'm from a small rural farming community, that is kind of what Halloween was like for me growing up. We used to make turnip lanterns. I never seen a pumpkin lantern until I was an adult. Now the American version of Halloween seems to be everywhere.

239282 used to go trick or treating sometimes but it wasnt and still isnt that popular. halloween parties seem to be a thing though.

Frankly you don't need any reason to party, but if you get a reason, why not party? ^^
I don't like disguising myself though ^^"
