I mean they do have a different type of culture so it only makes sense for their stuff to feel so different. I wouldn't mind seeing a little bit more weirdness in our American/European part of the world. Our stuff always felt so incredibly stiff...

I remember JJBA starting out with a vampire creating mask and a bunch of ancient muscle men that were stuck to a pillar, who had to be defeated with some fancy huffing and puffing called Hamon.
And then the next season was just like 'nah we wanna be cool, scrap all that, we're doing stands now'. @_@

You mean, the pillar men? It's the only sequence I know of Jojo, because a Youtuber used to use the soundtrack to emphasize what he was doing XD
Btw Dragon Ball and Jojo are the only mangas I know of in which everyone looks like Ronnie Coleman.

The series slowly goes away from that imagery as the parts progress. Part 9 (which just started) features a 15 year old boy as the protagonist, for example. In general: when the series moved away from its shonen roots (Part 7+) it changed a lot in style.

I mainly watch the Anime for JJBA. Last part I saw was Golden Wind, which is apparently only part 5.

I do have the physical Manga for parts 1-3, but I still haven't read part 3 =\
