The Count To Infinity - v12

I'd rather have 3 hour work days followed by 37 hours of just chilling :coolduck:

Before I could go to Canada to start my new job, I was unemployed for a few months, and I swear 16 hours a day are not enough for all that I wanted to do :(

When my partner was unemployed for the first 4 months of the year, it was really more stressful than fun. Having to dig deep through whatever she saved up from 2021 to try and continually pay their house and utility bills. It was quite the struggle and though I constantly insisted I help, she never let me. She's thankfully now having a good time with a job that paid just as much as our freelance gig last year, but this time she actually gets benefits and bonuses on top!

I've had my job since leaving high school, but I assume being unemployed is stressful =\

Before I had my job I had literally 5 years of unemployment (with the occasional short time slavery job inbetween). I mostly locked myself into my room during that time. :(

Spoiler:

The most stressful for me was the lack of income, even if I had some financial assistance thanks to my country.

There's a momentary safety net of living with parents for free. In my country it's not really looked down upon at all, and it's well too common to find people ages 20-30 to still be living in their parents' house. Many of my college friends took like a whole year off after graduating to just rest, and didn't seem affected much financially. Makes me envious as someone who literally only got a 7 day break between graduating and entering the work force.

I started my first job before graduating my main degree lol

Well shit. Speaking of military stuff, my country's new Vice President is thinking about enforcing mandatory military service for all young adults. Unsure if there's an age range and if it'll affect me (since I'm 23 and graduated 3 years ago), but I'm sure it starts with the healthy 18 year olds and whatnot. Not looking forward to that at all, but plenty boomers are loving the idea.

I've always thought I needed some "transition" to adulthood (I feel like I'm a teenager still, mentally and physically lol), and I thought about joining the army several times.
However a few years ago I heard the following "proverb": "thinking is already disobeying". I'm way too smart for the army XD

The transition to adulthood for me was realizing that I wasn't gonna get an allowance from my parents anymore and had to start making my hard earned money last lol

Is adulthood supposed to be unfun?
Or maybe I'm an adult but I'm still having fun :D
