I haven't tried it out yet in Violet, but in Legends you could save before triggering a fight with a shiny and then just reload if you effed up.
But yea, I rarely use my Master Ball just in case I come across a shiny with a death wish =P
 
241143 oo thats a nice feature. but idk i kind of like the danger of some shinies, it makes them more memorable whether you catch it or it blows up on you 😄
i like how open Violet is but i still think most ppl will end up having done the same route cus like after the tutorial i started going one way until it was clear the wild pokemon were too high leveled there so i had to go back nd went the other way. im not sure if the gyms scale or not.

what are u lots favourite pokemon this gen?

Oh hey, that reminds me of that shiny Volcarona I encountered while playing Pokémon Insurgence. It decided to use Whirlwind.

I managed to catch a shiny Graveler in HG without it doing the explody splodes.
The details are lost to time so idk how or what happened there anymore xD

Nothing scales in level. You either stick to the intended route levels-wise if you insist on not overleveling, or just ignore that and have fun stomping a level 15 gym with a crew of level 40's :coolcat:

The cat starter line in it's entirety, Espathra, Tinkaton, Cetoddle/Cetitan, Chien-Pao, Farigiraf, Flamigo, Cyclizar, Charcadet line are probably my favorites.

I don't have a Switch so I haven't played S/V, but I coded everything Gen 9 for my fangame, and I follow the competitive scene, apparently some of the new Pokémons, in particular the four legendaries, are overbroken due to their abilities.

It's crashed like 4 times in total for me and I clipped through a wall at one point due to triggering a battle with a wild mon in a narrow corridor.
I ended the battle and used my map to fly to safety =D

Legends would also occasionally randomly crash. Never had that problem in a Pokemon game outside of those two games... 🤔

I haven't had any issues with glitches in Violet, just a lot of game crashes.

I think i can handle some higher levels like 10 above mine but it was like lvl 15 vs lvl 35 lol i ran out of there 😂 Oh ive tried not to spoil evolutions but i did see the final evos, glad i picked Fuecoco cus the fire crocodile thing looks goated. I dont mind the cat one. I caught tarantula cus it looked cute nnd it was one of the first ones i evolved nd was pretty disappointed with Spidops, its ok ig but ive replaced it with a different bug type Nymble not evolved it yet. I also like Greavard (called him Ronnie after my mums dog) from a tera crystal thing its poison tera type. Only ones ive seen uve mentioned are Cyclizar which is pretty cool, Charcadet which i got one myself im currently using nd bloody Flamigo i fount one in the wild nd it wiped my team when i was low lvl xD

Today i finally finished a game i started ages ago last year called Disc Creatures. Its a bit like the Gameboy Pokemon games, its a lot harder though u have to strategise a lot. I would recommend it tho it was on offer on steam when i got it.
I am not surprised the legends are busted after Zamazenta last time round lol. What is this fangame ur working on? like a rom hack?

Oo i heard abt the bugs nd glitches but tbh in the time ive played it so far ive only had one minor bug nd that was at the start when ur walking round with the starters nd sprigatito got stuck walking into a fence xD

This would probably surprise you, but Game Freak used to be at the cutting edge of technology in their previous games (so I've heard). Apparently they were pushing the limits in each of their first games with the content, the sprites, the optimisation, even the sounds.

It's a fangame, and it's for people who like strategic battles but want an easier experience than Smogon, and a lot of variety in tiers. I'm currently working on an update patch adding Gen 9 and some new tiers.

I only had like on crash in Violet in total. And this is currently my second playthrough. It might just be memory leak issues that cause it to crash. In that regard I'm fairly save as I also play ACNH daily. So I end up rebooting the game quite often, anyways.

I find it annoying when you encounter/run from a wild mon and it basically repositions you elsewhere inside of another one. I've had entire chains like this, until I get annoyed and just start murdering them all. 😤
Not a bug I think, just an annoyance.

Flamigo is an absolute beast in the early game =3

I've repeatedly fought higher level Mons just because it's good exp =P
Though I also ended up ignoring all the wild Mons in a couple areas because they were far too low leveled =P

I do think it's kinda hilarious that despite the hickups on a technical standpoint GF still managed to progression lock everything, regardless. Like, I broke out of the tutorial parts of the game but wasn't allowed to take on a Gym because I still hadn't finished the tutorial. xD

But at least I found a shiny Hoppip that way!

I started a second playthrough on my child account and was greeted by a tiny pink thing on the first area where you can catch Pokemon. Hadn't even met Miraidon yet.
I blanked out for a couple seconds what Pink Pokemon where here... and then it got close enough to tell what it was; a shiny pawmi.
I hadn't planned on using one, but the dang thing basically volunteered itself and is now on that playthrough team. which is on pause atm because i got bored at like 2 gyms in xD
