I was thinking that maybe the songstress' song only works under certain conditions? Eg. maybe it only works if the target is not visited by other roles (or something along those lines?) From the narrative it doesn't sound like the song was blocked, it sounds more like the action failed, as the songstress was still able to play the song. Could also be possible that Cho abstained / missed their action, or maybe they are some weird role that is not affected by NAs?

So... "songstress" is a role blocker. So I highly doubt mafia would have 2 roleblocking roles. (hooker and "songstress") so what was the whole "hour of passion" thing referring to yesterday? Also, based off of the phase post, Pinkbeard sounds like a Santa. Cho was "no where to be seen". So maybe songstress only works on people who don't have a visiting night action? (just a guess.)

Pinkbeard is definitely a Santa OR GS/BS. If the gift that Pinkbeard gave was a gun, it may also answer who shot Killua. :/ Santa seems more likely though, since it also said "someone they deemed trustworthy".

These are some goods theories here; I definitely think the "sound like the action failed versus it was blocked" is a great notion. Though, I think my money - for now - is gonna be on the idea that Cho doesn't have an active ability, so they wouldn't "come out at night;" hence, there's nothing to block.

So what roles could the songstress be?

I'm thinking this "songstress" is just the game's skin for Hooker and we, as the town, have a Drunk or Lover in the Professor. If he's the latter, I'm curious if he is privy to knowing what alignment his lover is ... I know some town-sided variants of lover that aren't allowed to know.

Just wondering, what makes you assume the professor is town? I'd just hate to assume that they're town, have them claim later, we "clear" them, and then find out they're actually mafia sided.

Also with the song lady, I think it makes sense that their target either didn't have a night action, or didn't use it, which is why it sounds like their song failed. But something useful I figured out is that whoever the singer is, they now know two people's pirate names. Let's hope they're town sided :X
