We're talking about the thread that is the "face of the forum", so for Other Chat, it would be the DCC. :/ But the Pokemon Vs. Pokemon thread would work well as PG's "quick link" thread.

I would say for simplicity's sake we keep it to one link, but that's just me. My vote would be cast for latest page/latest post. If they really wanna go to the start of the thread they can just click First Page lol

Only problem with that is that an admin (...me, since no one else does these little things >:O) would have to change that every single week. Same with the OVP PotW, etc. It's mostly an idea for threads that are ALWAYS a standing presence. The DCC gets changed only 3-4 times a year (I forget, it's on seasonal right?), the quick trade thread gets reset once a year or less, etc. They don't change weekly or anything.

One would be fine by me but there's already two in a few places and it doesn't look too out of place (Announcements, I'm mainly looking at).

I really don't like that idea, tbh. I think a thread gaining itself "sticky-status" is enough to make said thread, easy to find and emphasizes its importance in its particular forum. Also, a member, such as myself, could care less about one of these "quick link" threads, and it would just make the list of quick links harder to navigate. I'll admit that I like Penatrait's idea, as it lets each user decide what the most important threads on PC are (to them), rather than letting someone else (the administration or whoever would be in charge of deciding what these "Quick Links" will be) decide for them.

You would but I think a lot of people browsing through would click on them and leave a reply. The threads with standing presence, like DCC, aren't conversations people can just jump into. In fact most threads in Other Chat aren't conversations that random people can just jump in to.
 
Only problem with his idea is... I have no idea how to implement it. :( Audy's pretty much our coder and he's been really busy the past year or two, so while we used to be able to implement whatever we could think up, now we're mostly restricted to the default vBulletin workings.

Does that include the Royal Wedding as well? My uni have given me until the 3rd, but that's technically for revision purposes so I shouldn't be having any fun!
 
Oh wow Siggy! Two weeks off is awesome. Sadly I'm not off of anything XD but I'll be moving back to Virginia soon so that's pretty exciting
 
I'm going on a mini-vacation next week, despite my parents doing everything in their power to stop me from doing so.
 
My classes ended yesterday (until September!), but I still have a group project due tomorrow- luckily it's online stuff, but I have to coordinate the paper with 7 other people... it's going to be crazy.
 
I've still got classes til next thursday. But I only have two major assignments left to do, so that's awesome.

I hate my school for ending the term the week before Easter weekend. It's like a rip-off. but wutever lol
 
You Canadian people get out of school early. High schools don't get out until mid-June here, and colleges/universities get out mid-May.
 
Easter Break? That's first.

I can't wait until May 4th when my classes end. Got two more Algebra tests screw these augmented matrix's and Gaus/Joran -_-, one persuasive speech, then a final speech, 5 page paper on Peter the Great, then one History test. Looking forward to sleeping in almost every day for 3 months.

I have vBulletin scripting knowledge, I ran my own vBulletin forums for world of warcraft and i still have it but i was never good at recruiting xD

What exactly are you guys trying to do ?
 
lmao. This thread looks like it came straight out of HQ or something. I'm rather proud that members are taking an interest in community affairs and looking at it from different angles than just what they would like.
