...Maybe you could sleep in? Or sleep later than usual! xD;

I can never sleep in. My body can like tell if it is 9:00am and wakes me up if I try to sleep past it. And if I stay up past like 1:00am no one will be on the irc to talk to.

But if this system was in place, your body would never have deviated from its natural pattern. You only wake up at six because that's how you've been conditioned! If you had never had to go to sleep at eleven and wake up at six, you never would have. You would have slept through comfortably until nine or ten!

Not unless my father didn't get a job that wakes me up so early when he gets ready.

Well, I can hardly account for external stimuli like that, now, can I? XP

Regardless, I can dream. I've only got one more year of high school left after this one, so even if this change did come about, it'd be far too late for me. They're not suddenly gonna pull it out overnight. :/

No, they're not sadly to say for you.

But all I can see that doing is messing up jobs for people seeing how the kiddies would be used to getting up at 10ish and most jobs start at nine.

I don't like sleeping. If it were up to me, I would never go to sleep. Anyway, school sleep schedule: 12:30/1:00 AM to 7:35 AM. Saturday: 3:30 - 4:00 to 6:30/10:00. (Adult Swim anime night for me.)

My sleeping pattern has been pretty consistent for the past few days. The problem is the fact that the sleeping pattern has been going to bed at 4am and getting up at 12pm. It's not too bad since no one is in the house anyways when I wake up so the don't know, it only gives me two hours to do things before my sister comes home. Not that it's a problem (because she tends to take a nap), but regardless.

Wow, 9pm would be way too early for me. I'm generally up at 7am for school and anything up to 9am outside of school, but I don't go to sleep until 3 or 4am-ish most days.

I attended two high schools; moved in between (protip: THIS IS A BAD IDEA). At one, we had 7 periods at 50 minutes each; at the other, 4 periods at 90 minutes apiece. School day was 7.50-2.35. 90 minutes is WAY too long for a single subject, especially when your first class was chemistry with an openly sexist and narcissistic African man.

We usually hit the bed around 2am and are up at 9.. although lately the 9 has been pretty difficult so an adjustment is in order. Both of us are natural night owls. I've had serious trouble sleeping since I was around 8, so I find it odd that sleeping next to a loved one has helped alleviate that somewhat.

I'd argue that the lighter homework workload makes 4 90 minute classes easier than 7 50 minute classes, though. I had less homework in high school than in middle school because I went from 8 44 minute classes to 5 70 minute classes, allowing more time to learn/do homework in class while also having fewer classes dishing out homework.

That would depend on the school and classes. Homework has never been a big problem. At the 4-period high school I was in the IB program, so spent easily 3-4x the time on homework & studying than for the 4 AP classes I took during my year at the 7-period school. In the latter's case, I always had 2 elective classes that would usually finish early, so I'd just work on home assignments then (or during a boring lecture in another class, heh).

I think it's an attention span thing. I loved having so many quick classes. The block system was just killing me.
