I'm not too fussy with the style of play that a particular JRPG has... I do stray away from the FF series because it is becoming too "Western" however.
I'm getting more tolerant of grinding, actually, as long as it isn't as lame as in Pokemon. It's just that the original FFs were so mind-numbingly long and boring that I sort of hate games like that; ie. Dragon Quest.
I finished Platinum some time ago, natch, and since then I've been doing nothing but training everything I can get my hands on up to level 100. It's a good way to spend some bored hours.
Meh, I never do either. It's just a perfectionist thing. I do battle my friends at school a little, and I like to surprise them by changing my lineup as often as I can.
I've trained a select few Pokemon to level 100, namely my main battling team as well as my play-through teams for Platinum and Soul Silver. I really haven't been doing any major training lately.
I do believe I've just got:
Dragonite
Charizard
Tyranitar
Ninjask (PokeSav'd, don't use it)
Aggron (PokeSav'd, don't use it)
Scyther
Absol
Lucario
Gyarados
Currently working on the lv. 88 Gardevoir - next in the queue is the 60-something Armaldo.
The only Lvl. 100 Pokemon I have are from trades, though they were no doubt rare candied. I say this because their moves have all had their PP increased to the max.
The highest I've raised is years ago (2007?) and that's my Lvl. 81 Lucario and Luxray. Though from my Soul Silver, my Electrive (Lvl. 69) and Rampardos Lvl. 76) are getting there, slowly but surely.
