The DARKEST DUNGEON II

OK, so if I were Siren, I would only use my healing for 12 ability when I've taken more than 12 damage, right? So the only people who have taken more than 12 damage have been Bac, Desi, Kiyo, Gunner, and Abby. 4/5 of these people haven't said a thing, and that only leaves Abby. I know this is super crazy and might be way far off, but I personally think that Abby is the Siren. I'm gonna hold off on attacking until I see what you guys think, because I don't want to look scummy for jumping the gun.

The flaw in your logic is that why would I be calling for the arbalest to out if i was the siren?

Just wait until the arbalest feels ready, then we'll know for sure.

To possibly make yourself look innocent? Sometimes mafia will go to extreme lengths to come off as innocent. Plus, The Siren is a Terror and not just an evil - and if tDD1 is anything to go by, the Terrors are quite strong on their own. Perchance you have a way to keep yourself alive (coughhealcough) or are just very very hard to kill.

Am I saying you are the Siren? No, I'm just... pointing out the flaw in your logic.

That being said, of everything we know (or assume we know), you are the most likely to be the Siren out of any player at the moment.

One thing about the siren - when I eat people, it also does 3 damage to them, so it looks like the Siren damaged 3 people, not 4, and healed the total value of their damage. Or they did damage 4 people and heal for 12, and then I happened to hit the Siren, but what are the odds of that?

Not sure about Abby being the Siren, but it does sound as if she is more likely to be the Siren. I'd have to go back and read through her posts at some point if I have time this weekend. Or we could wait on the Arbalest if they are willing to reveal at this point.

The phase post clearly says Siren damaged 4 people. And there's just 4 people with a -3. Which means you did target the Siren. Night, just tell us who you attacked last night (see what I did there) and we will kill him to death.

It also says that one of the Siren's targets damaged it, not that it fought back, but that it had some spell on it that damaged the siren.

but...a powerful spell lay upon one. Biting into this one pained the Siren.

Let's not jump the gun, especially not with flawed logic. There's bound to be multiple roles with attacks that do 3 damage, otherwise the monsters could easily figure out who they hit by how much damage each role took.

Alex pls, I said not to be hasty

But with that, I think I'll share what I learned.

As the Madman, I primarily did stress damage. Terrors and Evils apparently don't take stress damage. I targeted Alex, and evidently he didn't take any stress damage.

Now, there could easily be other ways to avoid stress damage, but why not let Alex explain why he didn't take any

I'm feeling pretty keen on Absol being The Siren. I was edging towards it yesterday but idk, I just feel like it adds up. It's not out of character for Ab to make odd plays.

And now Naku has thrown in a fantastic curve ball. I love this game already :c.

You have a point there. Totally missed that part.

So, Siren damaged only 3 of the 4 lured targets, while the 4th 3-damage attack was from Night's NA? And the spell afflicted on the 4th lured target damaged the Siren for 3 instead of the other way around.

Nevertheless, I think Night should tell us her target for future reference.

And btw, there's just no night kills here right? Instead Terrors are stronger than typical mafia to compensate.
And it seems no recruitment happened last night. So it's not an every night thing. Maybe one every two like in FF mafia.

Edit : Wow, double ninja'd.
I have no explanation of why I didn't take stress damage. One that instantly popped in mind is you're lying

Edit 2 : Also, you might have been roleblocked, or I was protected from stress attacks by someone. But all I've got is speculation, no legitimate explanation.

First of all, this is not something I think you should be sharing, the Madman is dead. But since you did, if true this statement means Naku is probably not a Terror.

By the way the OP says Terrors don't take stress damage, but doesn't mention Evils, so is it just Terrors or both the Terrors and Evils?
If you reach 100 STRESS, you will go INSANE which will unleash a special event specific to your character! Unfortunately your character will die of a heart attack, eliminating you from the game. The TERRORS are unaffected by STRESS.

Geez I have alot to catch up on, sorry for being absent guys, just been busy with uni work and sport so only had time to log on for barely minutes at a time! Since its the good old weekend now I shouldn't have any problems!

The first thing Klippy told me when he added me as a replacement was that I could share anything about my previous role and what happened to me with the false reveal. I wasn't sure if "anything" meant what the role could do or what I learned with it, so I double checked. Still unsatisfied with my clarification, I then triple checked after he gave me a second affirmative answer.

So, yes, I'm allowed to be sharing this. Klippy did warn me to keep in mind that avoiding stress doesn't necessarily make someone a Terror, but I knew that already.

So, yes, I could be lying, as Alex pointed out. I could be, but I'm not.

And I could have been roleblocked. As one of the Siren's victims, it's entirely possible that she could have roleblocked me as well. That would also explain why Vvulf did not recruit last night, assuming that he can recruit someone each night.

But at the same time, the Heroes to Evils/Terrors ratio is still almost equal, and Alex's posts have made me slightly suspicipus of him, which is why I deigned to share this information.

As for your question, jd, I'm not sure if Evils are included in the fact that Terrors are immune to stress. I do know that only Heroes take stress damage in the actual game, and I'm used to referring to all in-game enemies as terrors or horrors. I don't know how Klippy has decided to handle it.

I don't see how analyzing the phase post and outing my thoughts about it seems suspicious to you. I even make sure to include how much of a speculation my thoughts are because I don't wanna mislead anyone; especially since I haven't played the actual game.

And if FF mafia taught me anything, it's that you are a decent at lying. You've also said in the twau mafia chat that you help town regardless of your alignment, so I'm always wary of you. And actually you proved that last point in this game, cuz you've been helping until now, and you were a terror, be it gargoyle or madman.

EVENT TWO
OP | GAMEPLAY | NZ
D1 - E1 - N1
D2 - E2
The group entered the dungeon, weapons drawn. It was finally time to make their way into the depths of the dungeon once more. As their torches flickered in the diminishing light, they began seeing the corpses of their fallen comrades. Some were completely butchered to the point you couldn't make out where one corpse ended and where one began. Some had maggots crawling around their eye sockets and mouths. Some were the homes of rats, who scurried off into the darkness as the echoing footsteps approached.

The group passed the bodies of dead pigs, whose rotting corpses smelled the worst and were overflowing with maggots. As they pushed past some rubble to head deeper down, they came across a lone body.

[PokeCommunity.com] The DARKEST DUNGEON II

It was the dead Highwayman. His corpse was not as foul as the litter of bodies they had previously passed, but what humanity was left in his face was gone. The dark dungeon seemed to have drained the body into decay quickly, but he was not covered in maggots or rats like the others.

The group surrounded him and pondered what to do.

Each of you MUST make this choice, but your choice must be decided before the end of this day phase (roughly 12 hours remain). Each choice has a consequence.

[LEAVE THE CORPSE]
[BURY THE CORPSE]
Spoiler:

Better give the dead some respect. [Bury the Corpse]

@Alex: I took a bite out of Pie, but I don't think I've seen any indication of whether my attack worked or not so it's possible I was blocked?

Klippy didn't mention who I was replacing.

This part in particular strikes me as odd. So you're replacing somebody? As in you're in and somebody else goes out the game? Wouldn't we know who that is? Compared to that the part about Klippy allowing you to say anything about your previous role is actually probable (and it's Klippy and his crazy game we're talking about, so I can actually believe that).

The most straight-forward alternative theory is of course that you aren't actually dead, either it was an illusion of some sort or your old character got revived. Before anything is said about that, I don't really think this happened.

Another possibility is that you didn't actually replace anybody, but Klippy introduced an anonymous new character you are playing right now. He's done that before. Also, keep in mind that Klippy mentioned mysterious special things could happen when people die. Your revival of some sorts might very well be that.

...and if I can be honest I don't trust even a bit of this.

On another note: [Bury the corpse]. Seems like a nice thing to do.

I say we [Bury] The Disgusting Thing.

So who are we gonna vote for? I have no scumreads yet, but I need to vote for someone today or I die.

I have this feeling that if we stay and bury the corpse something bad is gonna happen to us. It's always like that. Acting out of goodwill ends up badly. Like being ambushed by maggots or something and have our stress up.
I might be wrong, but I feel like following my gut so [Leave the corpse].
I tend to be quite the asshole when I play mafia so I don't even feel guilty about this xD
If you're lucky you guys might find something on the poor guy, like his gold or something. but I guess I'll pass.

I don't trust any of it either. As I said earlier, Naku is really good at lying. It's a skill I respect might also be a talent :O, so I'm definitely gonna keep an eye on him.
Klippy hasn't even said a thing about the replacement, which is something a GM must do, so I'm even more inclined to think that's a fat lie there. And it's not like he didn't have the time to make the replace post. He made a damn event lol.
