The offical "PC won't load | I can't post | threads won't load" etc. thread.

it's not our fault - we don't control the idiots who are attacking us any more then you do.
all that can be done to mitigate it, is being done.. just bear with us until the attack is stopped.
 
I feel like I am missing something..."the attack"? 0o!?
 
we have been under a persistant attack for the last 3 days or so.. it's hammering the apache webserver with 1000's of php/mysql requests and in turn cause those systems to back up and fail.

I hope they stop this soon, If i was evil >_> I would say, hit back.
But thats wrong to do <_<

And if you want to leave then nothing is stopping you. I hate this downtime more then anyone, but I'm not going "Well I'm fed up with this. I'm going to another forum".

I think I understand. After all this is a pretty reliable and friendly forum (well, I think that).
And other reasons besides.

And I don't want to leave completely, I'll probably just pop in every now and again.
 
Well, its been working for officially 3 minutes.

I for one wont quit the forum. Shame on all of you who quit PC cause someone is attackig us! It isnt PCs fault just so you know. -.-'

I do know alot of pople who are quitting just for that reason, and it has to be the worst reason Ive ever heard. As I always say 'Live with it till the evil people get bored' XD
 
Yeah, I am not leaving either! This isn't going to stop me, I will keep on trying reposting my posts and stuff. No biggie. This will be fixed and everything will be back to normal. ^^ I am sure of it.
 
How come all of the forums I go to just... stop working all at once? Does the god of forums hate me or something? :[
 
If you actually read the above posts you'd have found out that we're under attack from things called DDOS, it can and may stop threads and different parts of the forum loading, which is has been doing for long enough now. ._.;

[Edit] This post doesn't seem to be registering on the forum index. It still says deadlymind was the last post.

You can fix that problem in your edit by deleting your post and reposting it. It usually shows up after that, but I usually just ignore it, cause it's not an issue.

And, maybe deadlymind means like, all the forums in general? Other places other then PC, because I do know that another few forums were down just awhile ago.

Thats what I meant. Earlier today, Myspace wasn't working, Wifitournament wasn't up, Pokecommunity wasn't up...

The MI Radio & TV Buzzboard was up and running fine earlier today. I also visited Bulbagarden and Serebii.

That was quite a long and bad attack we had just before. These attacks don't seem to be getting any better. ;_;

It's been getting worse, sometimes it's down even when it's usually dead for me. ._.
