Finished The Stillness of the Wind few days ago and forgot to post about it here. It was shallow and boring walking simulator that tried to present itself as relaxing farming game. You can read my whole thoughts on it in my Game Journal.

Finished Moss the other day. It was a charming little game, but the abrupt ending took me by surprise. I knew it was short but the way they kind of wave off your victory and urge you on to bigger adventures before dumping you into the credits felt a bit off. It's a shame, too, because I was really getting into the world and apparently it has no sequel in development. :(

It was the first VR game I played that wasn't just a short little demo, though, so I feel like I can forgive it for being shorter because it was definitely a bit more of a unique experience than other games I've played with a similar runtime.

May rolled in and the theme is male protags... which means well... simple, any game with a male protag is allowed for this month.

it's a darn shame IV was never a protag in a game otherwise I would have given bonus points even if that was illegal

You can play as IV in World Duel Carnival on 3DS.

I'm not sure what to play, tho. I might do either Syphon Filter or Super Mario Galaxy.

I am just now having another discussion telling me it's nightmarishly hard. I'll probably still try it though :')

Ohhhh I've just seen this and may join in (excuse the pun). I might go back and play FFVII remake again (I didn't get round to finishing it so)

It's less that it's hard and more that it's hard while also not respecting your time. If you DO play it, though, play the Steam version (or any version that matches that). It cuts out a decent chunk of the stuff that was unforgiveably bad.

I don't usually mind grinding but none of the grinding in that game was fun and for the endgame my time was spent like 5% actually playing the game and 95% grinding just for the sake of levelling. I really don't recommend it, since you'll have your fill enough of grinding just playing the base game.

Decided to go with The World Ends With You to replay it before the sequel comes out this summer. I'll be playing the original DS version in Japanese. :D

Finished FFIV!

There were some pretty large narrative and gameplay flaws that hurt it a bit, but it was a really fun game over all and I liked it a lot. You can read about my thoughts in more detail in my gaming journal thread if you want.

I don't think I'll be able to finish Syphon Filter this month. I beat around 1/3, but didn't really find much time to get back at it. I'll hopefully beat it this week and then will move on to the next Game-along game.

Right down to the wire again, as usual, but I beat TWEWY! I played on easy so it went by pretty quick, but it still took me a while to get into this time. I think I played Final Remix too recently so I just wasn't feeling it as much as I'd hoped, but oh well! Still a great game.

June - Welcome to the real world (realistic games/games based on real life)

This month's theme is all about that realism, so no breaking trees with bare hands and it not falling over like it can float in mid air.

that is literally all I could come up with... man my creativity has gone down the drain... at least for this theme

I'm pretty sure Orwell fits though, so that's my choice.
