Celesteela does look like a celestial being I must say. If it didn't look so metallic but more alien it would fit in Bloodborne.

I find it rather odd that Celesteela can learn all these grass moves yet isn't part grass (Celesteela even learns Seed bomb via level up in gen 7). She is part flying but naturally she only learns Air Slash at level 1 which cannot be learned via level up anymore after gen 7. Outside of air slash she has access to Acrobatics and fly.

Now that is 100% true. Also I pondered on the idea of being steel flying. It somewhat makes sense because Celesteela is shaped like a rocket ship. Also flying steel gives you better defenses than grass steel, like an immunity to ground and only a 2x weakness to fire instead of a 4x weakness.

The fact that Celesteela is associated with bamboo and the fact that she is shown as a baby in the anime may be a reference to the Princess Kaguya story The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. After all Celesteela can only be found in Moon, not Sun.
