The Pyromancers: Fire-type Pokémon Club

Reminds me of the shalk from elder scrolls games.

Elder Scrolls = win. You're right though, it does.

Badly burned would either be more damaging as the battle goes on or it makes the Pokémon's Attack go down gradually every turn. Perhaps it could cut both Attack and Special Attack? Just throwing some things out there.

If that'll be real, you would see a lot of "badly burned" teams out there....god no.

But the idea is really nice!

Maybe they should make some poison type moves or fire type moves that would double/triple bonus damage to specific types of pokemon.

They could create a move that is similar to Freeze-Dry. I'd choose Rock or Ground for the type that it's super-effective against. Liquidate would be a good name for the move.

Liquidate sounds too much like water. I'd do something more like melting or something like that.
Liquidate means turning something into a liquid, so not sure what else to call the attack. The fire is literally melting the rock and/or ground.

Is Magma Spray an attack name yet? That could work.

I don't think so, there's a Poison-type move called Acid Spray, but that's the only move of any kind I think. I think they should call it Stone Smelt, kinda like they did with Rock Smash.

Fire moves aren't super-effective against water-types, but would've been nice if we had one that actually were. :( Maybe the move could cause water to be evaporated from your opponent, making it easy to damage water Pokémon?

We've actually talked about this kind of move before. My idea for a name was Vaporize.

This. This NEEDS to happen. I don't know how the move would work exactly though.

If you were to introduce a fire-type legendary, how would it be?

In Aztec mythology, the fire serpent has a name; Xiulcoatl. (pronounced: shee-oo-ko-ah-tl)

The Xiulcoatl is believed to be a representation or spirit form of the Aztec fire god, Xiuhtecuhtli. It is also associated with the Central Mexican god of fire and it was a popular symbol of fire and solar heat.

The Xiuhcoatl is described as having a long segmented body and a back-turned snout. In various drawings of the voracious fire serpent, it is illustrated with vivid red flames gushing out of its fanged mouth.

In other myths of the fire serpent, it is said to have two feathered heads- one to represent land or the earth and the other monstrous head to represent natural catastrophes.

I think that something like that could be really cool.

Wow. You've done your homework, nice job. A spirit form, huh? Sounds like a Fire/Ghost-type to me, which would be really cool since there's only one line so far. A two-headed one - there's something that's chaotic and...awesome. I like it.

With so many TMs and coverage moves these days, making special moves like Freeze-Dry for everything, would really devalue the point of type match-ups.
I don't think it would. Freeze Dry didn't render any water types obsolete, and, except water/ground types, it didn't really strike fear into any water types, most of which are still good counters to ice types.

One move doesn't rock the Pokemon world (especially one with base power lower than 80), but having a whole selection of them would.

Name: ~Cyndaquil~
Pick two Fire-type Partner Pokémon: Cyndaquil and Flareon
Reason(s) for liking Fire-types: I just really like fire types in general, they have really cool designs too :D
Answer to current topic: Not too sure how to answer it (if it's how I would introduce a fire legendary) will answer topics in the future though!

Me too; we don't have much fire/ghost-types out there aside from Chandelure, so seeing them introduce another would be great. n_n;; Would be great if it had high HP and defenses; that way, it would have been able to make a Jellicent counterpart, somehow.

Welcome! No worries, it is kind of a big topic, but you could answer any of the previous ones if you so choose.

That's true, we don't have many decent defensive Fire-types, it would be nice for Fire-lovers to get a decent wall for a change.
