I also did a running vote count during most of the day phases in Beginner's mafia, would appreciate that becoming more of a thing. tEMafia had it at the end of the phase, which is fine as well ;).

If the GM is using Excel or some spreadsheet to keep track of votes, then unvoting isn't necessary. You just overwrite whatever the previous vote was. But I can see the usefulness if you're using Word or Notepad or something else and just tallying votes up.
